Wowee, the young gun stands up in the last two minutes.
Awesome Beamsy.
4.2 to 4.7
That's what we needed to get confidence in our fast ball movement.

In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

beams has been very cool under the pressure. Would like to see presti in place of brown but i suppose its excellent experience for him.

Not sure. Has been very good though.Tannin wrote:Did I just hear the stat: Johnson, 20 possessions to half time?
Got to say that both Reid and N.Brown have been good in defense. Reid's made numerous mistakes, but his second efforts have been superb.
There was always the concern with this game, that we'd over-focus on defense, and not work well enough offensively. Not sure that's what's happened here, but we don't have the mids running into space as we move forward. Instead, we're bombing it long from about 70 out, and it's just not working. Cats are getting the extra man back, and making life very difficult.
We need more forward run, and to get the ball to Cloke one on one. He's been good, and has not lost a marking contest yet.
Splitting the clearances so far, which is good. But I reckon we should have an edge in that area, so looking for some improvement. Jolly's struggled a bit. We're losing the taps and Blake's doing a bit around the ground. Hawkins has been very good, hurting us down back and through the middle. Wood has been ordinary.
Our best for the half: Johnson, Cloke, Beams, Swan, Pendles, O'Brien
Well done boys!
