Players that worry me bigtime
1. Leon davis - is showing nothing this year , must lift!
2. Alan toovey - does the job , but lacks courage. Backed away from a few contests.
3. Cameron wood - Josh Fraser any day for me.
4. Shane obree - finished
5. Darren jolly - please lift.
6. Chris Dawes - don't drop him but tonight he got eaten alive.
7. Brent macaffer - them 2 misses cost us the game.
What are your thoughts?
Presti comes in next week as should Josh and tarks

What did we learn from tonights loss for Rd 19 when we next meet these creeps. ? For me, aside from learning to kick straight when we really need to, and not going missing for vital portions of the game-that shocking lapse in the third was shocking, we threw away all our earlier good work. Davis and Wood should be dropped, and i think Obree, whilst not our worst tonight, is gone. Fraser must come in, and Medhurst too,and the Jack attack could be a better option than Dawes at the present.
I also think we need a bit more speed, Barham deserves another go IMHO. Thank god for young Beams, our only real forward on the night.
Whatever, its painfully obvious that these pricks are still the side to beat, and we must learn some powerful lessons tonight, for next time.
Ideas please.

We are over-hyped, have a long way to go to beat good sides, but it's refreshing to see a champ in the making stand up (Beams), you learn more from a loss than a win, so maybe we can take this as a lesson

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Well disappointing but we didn't really play any particular way, we didnt even win the tackle count. The Cats pressured us heavily in the first half, and we generally collapsed around the centre half forward line. It was painful to watch, and we were 1-2% off.
I thought OBree was fairly woeful, offering nothing. Macaffer's wasting our time at this stage, we have much better waiting in the sidelines. There were some other ordinary goers, Davis comes to mind, Dawes was pretty substandard, didnt see much of Wood.
On the other hand Johnson continued to play well, Shaw was generally great, Toovey was really solid, and Ben Reid showed what I'd want a pick 8 to show.
I feel we have plenty more to offer from a game plan point of view, in particular pressuring teams which is our trademark generally, and of course the accuracy.
I'll reserve final judgement until we give both the Saints and Cats another go later in the season.

Many, perhaps most, gay people have a ton of guts. Watch your mouth, scumbag.Monco Matt wrote:Still pretenders, I just cannot believe it. The second half was just as pathetic as the Prelim Final. Am I overreacting?
I think I just saw 22 gay footballers, someone call Hutchy.

I don't like making excuses for a loss.
But look hard and long at a replay of this game.
Men vs Boys. Geelong's bodies are big, hard and they use this to advantage.
We tackled them, they broke free, time and time again. They tackled us and we had to dispose of the ball in an instant because the tackle stuck.
I'm happy to keep developing these players. But O'B, Johnno and Leon are looking very shaky for any serious Premiership tilt.

Bad kicking kills us again. Too many shit themselves stupid decisions inside 50. Leon must be dropped. Maccaffer is a worse 'deer in headlights' set shot than Reid. He has missed his last 4 or 5, all from around 30 out. It's embarrassing. As stiff as a brick wall is his action. The issue is that Ablett, Chapman, Johnson and the usual suspects didn't even kill us. Fast break Pagan's Paddock goals killed us AGAIN! Heath is too stupid, as usual. No one looks to the corridor, as usual, and no one except for Beams and Steele know what FRONT AND CENTRE is. Bye bye, Leon, I can't deeme you anymore. Our 'evenness' does not but it against the best, a la 2002-03. We can learn from this, but the Cats will win the flag unfortunately.
