Is this our key forward who hasn't kicked a goal for 2 weeks now? Yep, we''ll all hail him after he kicks a bag against a shite side.charmer wrote:How is he supposed to when the kicks to him are absolute garbage!! Any time he has a one-on-one he is unstoppable! you obviously are stevie wonder, blind as a bat if you can't see that (rhyme intended)steviewonder36 wrote: I dont rate Cloke like other supporters do, I think some of you overrate him. Unlike a JBrown, Franklin etc he doesn't have the capacity to step and lift the team when needed.
To be honest, I wouldn't be too concerned if he didn't take up a new contract.

So many ghosts came back to haunt us tonight. Voss, Black, Power, Brown.....and the filthiest of all Fevola! It really was the game from hell.
Its always Brisbane or Fev it seems; the 15 goal flogging in 07, the 2 losses to the scum in 08.
I have a very dirty feeling this morning...."how will you feel tomorrow?"
Well I feel like crap, really need to beat the dogs next week

For the second week in a row our forward line failed which was the difference in the end. Anthony is not up to it sorry to say, Dawes needs to back his baulk and hit the opposition hard and not the other way around. Wood is only there until Fraser gets back.
Dont worry we will get back on track and the top 4 is a big show, but the CAts would have to be geeting shorter in he betting with each round that passes.

Gotta agree with JS on this one; I quite sensibly retired early last night after the loss in case I said something I regret ("Friends don't let friends post blogs when drunk") and when I wake up this morning and check the postgame thread I find a lot of these posts don't make a lick of sense!jack_spain wrote:You see Donny, this statement is meaningless outside the context of its own thread. Which was, for the benefit of readers who didn't see the original thread, a question about (1) whether Jolly can jump, and (2) whether we are in a slump.jack_spain wrote:Ah, No to the first question and Yes to the second.
But meddling Donny takes it upon himself every week he mods the post-game thread to interfer and mess up legitimate threads that should be allowed to stand on their own.
Just stop doing it Donny! Go and do something else online if you don't like these threads after a loss. Just stop treating us posters like children!
[I wonder how long this post will last.]
Not that they do normally anyway!

Absolute joke a lot of these posts. If we pants the Bulldogs next week watch for the about face from most of the posters here.
Seriously, guys, we lost a game by a kick and a half. We're 7-3, and second on the ladder. Why the **** do most collingwood supporters EXPECT a faultless season? How often have there been faultless seasons in the history of the game, in more than 100 years of football?? Can only think of a few that have come close. I'm figuring that's a pretty damn low percentage.
Suck it up - it's a loss and the Lions deserved the wins because they wanted it more last night and we weren't on our game. Let's come out again next week with some fire in the belly and get back on track. Importanlty, learn from the mistakes and make sure we have it right come September when it counts.
Go Pies.

it's from the same old suspects singing the same old tunes so no surprises there. i'd be more concerned if some of the more rational posters turn.Podpicken wrote:Absolute joke a lot of these posts. If we pants the Bulldogs next week watch for the about face from most of the posters here.

disappointing loss, but we will bounce back.
some idiot on Nicks recently claims Ben Johnson an 'A' grader.
you gotta be joking mate. I admire Ben Johnson but is he no 'A' grader.
Even Ben Johnson would tell you the same.
A graders don't miss targets consistently.
Some people around here are deluded.

Didn't get to watch the game last night as I had a 21st to go to, but I taped it. Sounds like it's not worth watching it after reading some of the comments in this thread.
Very dissapointing! The Lions are frail at the moment and the exposed us. Football is played above the shoulders, and right now it seems the boys have got ahead of themselves

You're entitled to your opinion just as we are ours.Kingswood wrote:cant beleive the overreactions after this narrow loss.

Mick has only one gear for a whole game. The fans are confused, but imagine how bemused the players are when Mick turns up before a game and says, "Right boys this is how we are playing tonight." After 15 minutes it's clear it isn't the right plan for that game and the matchups aren't right, so what does Mick do. Leave everything as it is. It'll teach the kids, good for experience.
Crap! We don't want a teaching coach, we want a winning coach. Last night Voss showed he may not be the smartest cookie in the box, but he sure knows what it takes to win (three flags as a captain).
