Agree with your assessment. Great stuff Dave. Hopefully we can get over this form slump, but beware of the desperate dogs who always seem to trouble us in important games.
True but it wasn't as important as the round 22 game last year dude.

^They didn't last year and we all saw the results with Paul.
Playing on the hard Etihad surface when there's still some doubts about his foot doesn't seem a wise decision to me.
Keep him in cotton wool until after the mid season break.
Give Rounds a shot this week with Dick likely to be ready to resume against Melbourne if he performs well in the VFL this weekend.

When you have a loss, players sidelined with injury become mega stars.
Believe me, a bloke who hasnt played in 3 weeks is not going to ignite our forward line.
Ben Johnson would be in the top 5 of the B&F... Un-droppable for mine.
I think it's important not to panic with selection this week. Lets back the blokes that have had a good start to the season.
I think we should go un-changed.
Name Tarkyn and L.Brown as emergencies and as possible replacements for either McAffer, Wood or Anthony, depending on how the Dogs structure up.
7 day break is vital after a tough run at the Gabba..
If we get back to tackling, harrassing and mauling our opponents, I think we should win by atleast 5 goals

Hi fellow magpies.
First time poster here on Nicks
Went to Queensland last week to watch the boys, got in the reserves game and on a greasy surface at the Sharks oval, a couple that stood out to me with their sure footing and assured hands were Luke Rounds,Tyson Goldsack and Nathan Brown especially in the second half,Barham got plenty of it but didn`t dispose of it to our adavantage most of the time
Leigh Brown was fantastic for a bloke his size, but unfortunately he is one of those players that will dominate at this level and struggle in the big league.
In my view these are my changes
Ins Rounds Goldsack N,Brown (If Fit) Medhurst at the expense of Rounds
Outs Anthony Wood O`Bree

Welcome to Nicks & welcome to leigh for this game.nulla wrote:Same here welcome.Pied Piper wrote:^ Welcome.
I think L Brown should be given a go... time for some body contact especially up forward.
We need Medders & Leon - any chance of their return this week?
One of Jack or Dawes to go.
? Barham at the same time need to balance this with not too many changes despite the fact I've listed 1/2 the team!!

Amen to that, its time we got this foot/ankle right, id be willing for a bit of short term pain for a long term gain, the guy just hasnt been right all year, i know he's been servicable but hardly the medders we know and love.RudeBoy wrote:Medhurst is a key to our forward set up, but I worry that his stress related foot injury will hamper him all year. I hope I'm wrong, but I'd rather have him rested for another month or so and have him fit for the finals, than bring him back prematurely and have him struggle with it all year. I guess we've got to trust the club medicos to make the right call.
