Barham must be desperately unlucky not to get the call up. Perhaps next week against the young dees he'll get his chance.

With both Medhurst and Davis included in the 18 they'll be named in the 22 tomorrow night, doubtful though that both will still be there come 4:40pm Sunday afternoon.

Expect Medhurst to miss with Lockyer to be a late inclusion.

Of those on the extended interchange bench hopefully all of Wellingham, Dawes and Sidebottom will make the cut with L.Brown or Fraser the 2nd ruck option.

I'd reward Leigh Brown for his excellent VFL form over the underdone Fraser.

Totally agree swoop. I expect Medhurst to miss and Tarks a late inclusion.

Would also prefer L.Brown to the under done Fraser. We have the depth no need to panic and bring in underdone players.

I am disappointed we didn't bring in more speed/tackling type of person like Barham. The Dons showed the way last week tackle the sh!t out of them Pies and their sure foot skills turns to water!

Barham! -loved his father but unles he was kicking for goal on the run he was a useless field kick.

They say good kicking is good football and until Jaxson can learn how to kick accurately over 40 meters it will always count against him and so it should.

If Buckley kicked like Luke Ball in his career he would not have made the grade as a top line footballer....

The point is that we can not afford to select players that can not kick an arse at the blue oyster bar!

Didak can have an average game by his standards but boy-is his kicking spot on. Medhurst is a genious with his kicking skills and I would rather have his 10 possessions than McCaffers 20. The young Mcaff.....with what he has demostrated with his one inch out and miss kicking skills he will never make it. Hope I am wrong.

Leigh Brown-sh#t kicking skills but he gives it a go and paves the way for Leon ( who should be selected), Medhurst , Beams etc. Leigh will also make an occassional visit to big Bazza just to remind him that he is not the biggest boy in town...............

There's nothing wrong with Macaffer's field kicking and he's generally very composed under pressure and makes the right decisions.

It's his strength and why he's in the team.

Strength...strength?? His last couple of weeks will see him in the twos.
His strength has counted for nothing in the games that I have seen. Strong at doing what?

Don`t understand why they pick players who are under injury clouds, they say we have depth so lets see it,and i don`t mean players who have been there and been found wanting,eg Fraser,Lockyer,L,Brown.
Last week i saw Goldsack play a great game down back, he offers more than Toovey now and in the future, Luke Rounds although his first game back from injury surely offers more than a Lockyer, N, Brown was very good in the second half surely has more to offer than a L,Brown does in the future of our Football Club.

Interesting bench. I guess it'll come down to who's the least injured. Not sure exactly why but I have very uneasy feeling about this game

Would hate for us to take an underdone player into the game and be down on effective rotations against the fast and fit doggies team.

Do you watch the games or just the highlights? yes he missed those few set shots but his as far as his general kicking in the field of play goes hed be one of the most accurate in the team, not sure what to make of your comment.

In: Brown, Lockyer, Medhurst/Davis
Out: Wood

Will be good to see Tarks and Leigh back into the side, Medders would be the best option to replace Jack but it depends which of he and Leon is the fittest

according to fox sports daisy had gastro this week. He can hardly afford to lose a couple of kilos! Dont be suprised to see him rested. Players with a mid week illness rarely play well on the weekend.

According to Jolly, on the Footy Show - Wood's out, Fraser's in.
Has to happen. If not Fraser then L.Brown.
Well done boys!

over zealous Mods!

Post by thompsoc »

[quote="Tannin"]I don't know why we can't have a teams thread that lives for more than 30 damn seconds on the board before some over-zealous mod goes button-crazy and merges it into the match thread where, as always, it's impossible to find any damn thing or carry on a sensible discussion because it's just too long and crowded. Merge later if you must, but this merge-everything-instantly drives me spare.Same as it does most other members. It's not needed and it's not wanted. Just don't do it, OK?

Sigh.

I am with Tannin on this!
Can the Mods make a post about why they keep doing this!
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.
