Big T, you don't wanna know about the venom that can come outta my gob against these shit kicker teams. I mean it literally peels paint off walls. My mobile phone has just legged it, and is in hiding from me...

Bar open... bartender!

Melbourne 'boys' have worked out the Pies 'men'. Fast transfer of play, make use of every opportunity. Pies forward line the usual liquorice all sorts. We laid 1 tackle inside our F50 for that quarter.

Now we have a very interesting second half. The Demons have nothing to lose. We have everything to lose. Love it. Time to stand up.
Or fall flat on our face...which we do well, it is as simple as flooding us, good teams cream us with this tactic....very average teams(Melbourne) are kept competitive....

No team with this glaring a weakness will ever be a serious threat....
We are in our slump for the year, the big question is will we get out of it fast enough.

Our half backline, normally our strength, is really woeful at the moment and our forward line has really no structure.

These 2 things changing will bring us back into contention.
I disagree, we do not cope with high numbers in our forward 50, we've had plenty of shots but they've been from everywhere but easy positions we were on early but could not convert as we have no idea how to combat flooding.

You do not beat the bulldogs while in a slump, even an average bulldogs is a 10 goal better team than melbourne..... they do not however flood which is the reason we don't look like a bottom 4 side against them...we llok like a bottom 2 side against a bottom 2 side today...becuase they flooded back absorbed our onslaught and then started to have a go when we ran out of ideas....

We have one glaring weakness, several otherts but one glaring and that is an inability to deal with hi9gh numbers in our forward line.

Lockyer 12 possies 3 tackles v Barham 5 possies 3 tackles

Brown 5 possies, Medhurst, Davis, Dick 4 each (dickies 2 goals)

Either we improve or we have to get real about Dawes at FF each week and a chance for some of our younger players.
Can we continue to play:

1. Medhurst and Davis in the same team
2. Fraser and Brown in the same team.

We will find out.

Maxwell apparently injured.
Sadly, at least for number 1 I think that the answer is currently no. Either due to injury or whatever these 2 are not functioning. Medhurt has been a shadow of himself this year.

I like Leigh Browns endeavour but I don't think he will be taking us forward as a key forward.

Oh, and this inept kicking at goal is starting to break me too.
I badly fear a repeat of the 2006 trainwreck looming today...

I thought we might start flat after the Bulldogs scared the hell out of us last week, but we started like a house on fire. Second quarter we just couldnt get into it. That happens.

Loving this game, will be very telling.
Yep. We might as well find out now. Mike Sheahan was talking about bus drivers this week: players who stand up and guide the team. Who will stand up for us?

Disagree. They will run out of legs due to higher workrate flooding (hoping...).

Maxwell also finished for the day. Leg injury.

You already lose .... bit early for the rest of us.

Perhaps waiting until final siren sounds might be prudent.

Just takes a couple of these points to turn into goals. They have spirit - granted, but let's trust that class will outlast this nonesense.
I believe:
My mighty Pies will win more than they lose,,
That supporters should do just that ... support,,
My stomach is infact a Pie warmer: just got to work out how to get them back out!
