I am nervously excited about this game.

The positive side of me wants to see that our boys are finally able to match it against the two benchmark teams. If we win, that'd bring incredible belief and confidence to the team going into the finals.

IF we lose however, it might cause mental scars in the back of our boys' heads. It'd be the 7th?? (dont quote me here, i don't know the exact number) straight loss against this mob and the Cats. Are we ever going to be good enough? or is it going to be the same old same old as the past couple of years; beating most of the teams and get to a top 4 position; then limp out of the prelim against one of these 2 mobs.

Time will tell. Carn the Pies

He could be a consideration probably at Sidebottoms expence. Would probably net us the same amount of goals eitherway and both can rotate through midfield so its a toss up........but I suppose Leon gives us more xfactor!

In: Davis, Medhurst
Out: Cloke, Anthony

Going tall has never worked against the Saints. Leave Leigh Brown up forward permanent. Could even throw Ben Reid up there to play Cloke's role. We know he can play it.

Bombing long is what the Saints want. So maybe we put Dawes in the square as the safety net...and try and get our smalls into the game. The Saints are without Baker, so will struggle to cover.

^ Our smalls will be the key. The issue is that they have all been out of form or injured. One or two of them need to stake their claim for a sport in the team come finals time.

I would also consider heavily rotating Sidebottom and Beams through the forward line as they have proven that they can kick goals when they go forward.

Leon and Medhurst will both surely be recalled to the side, but the question is will Macaffer also get a game after his 37 possession BOG VFL game?

My changes would be:

In: Medhurst, Leon, Macaffer

out: Cloke, Anthony, Tarks

However, I expect Tarks will hold his spot, keeping Macaffer out...for now.

In: Medhurst, Davis, MacAffer
Out: Cloke, Johnson, Wellingham

is that too drastic?

^ Not too drastic at all. Apart from the forced change, both Wellers and BJ have been pretty ordinary and should be omitted imo. Your 'ins' look on the money

sidders out?, IMO he's coming 2nd/3rd/4th in the copeland at present, was a tad quite last week granted but the only way he doesnt play is if mick decides to rest him, which he wont as he had a rest 2 weeks ago.
