I've never thought Goldsack's spot was secure in the side but I've changed my mind after today.
He's a wildcard in defence and his marking ability is a real highlight. You need someone who can do what he does. He seemed to do a lot of his work up near the wings today which is where I'd like to see him

Mandy, forget the last qtr, i have no doubt we were looking ahead then at the Pussies game, and allowed the scum some junk goals. We still won by a big eight goals, tho it should have been by 14, had we kicked straght in the first three qtrs, when we poleaxed them. Cloke must get more kicking practice for goal, he must stop missing sitters. All up tho, the perfect tuneup game and big win, now for those moggies.!!

that is a role that all top midfielders are expected to play from time to time. Swan does it all the time, and so does Didak.
I would prefer to keep Malthouse's policy of building up the midfielders to play all over the park and just keep rotating them.
I think Heath is best suited to that loose man on half-back role, because he has the defensive positioning to back it up as well, but if he gets a defensive forward marking him, then feel free to rotate and move someone like Daisy there... but I think the priority would be to keep Heath there.

Yeah, you're right. But I walked away from the ground today without "that" feeling of elation that I have, especially the last few weeks.Piesnchess wrote:mandy wrote:Of course love the win, but anyone else feeling a bit deflated? Any news on Juddy's shoulder? That might cheer me up a bit...

Re: Daisy - our new quarterback?
Because Daisy is a better midfielder than Heath?Melsa5 wrote: Why not train him into this position and release Heater into the midfield?

just a thought after today's game.
Heater is far better a defender at the moment than daisy so much so he is getting tagged every game.
After daisys great game today why not have him play this sort of role and release heater when its needed. Add another bow to our team?
Quarterback is compliment for daisy PP. Hodge is now known as one of the best qiarterbacks in the game ie a brilliant play maker. Daisy is not there yet.
