Well done Woods, well done, they chucked everything at us and we stood tall and proud, great team effort all round. Special mention to young Beams, how good is this kid, Daisy, pendles, swannie, dids.

There's no room for complacency and extended periods of back slapping! Back to business, the lot of you.Tannin wrote:Yeah. Very slack. Probably because of all the excitement. Mostly people around here start on next week's team a bit faster than that.nulla wrote:I am really surprised to see people selecting next weeks team 10 mins after the best win for a number of years

Absolutely magnificent.
The Ponny Stand went off when the siren sounded.
Loved the way we withstood their comeback and then just went on with it.
Leon's game was pretty ordinary, but I cant see him getting dropped now, unless his calf gets tight again.
Any chance Anthony could replace Reid? Or will Brown come in?
Any way, too early for all than now. I just want to really enjoy this one. GO PIES!!!!

Superb win, our pressure was fantastic. We really shut Geelong down & if we'd kicked even a little bit straighter, the result could have been bit of a blow out. We beat the Cats at their own game, contested footy & fast movement. I haven't been this excited about a win in years.
Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

I told you we'd win!
Great night. Disappointing crowd though. It's about time the MCC stops this farce and makes it compulsory for members to reserve seats for blockbusters like this. If the members don't take up the seats they are sold to the public.
84,000 - Geez, pathetic. We'll NEVER see 100,000 at the G again ever. And I remember 120,000 at the 1970 grand final.
