If anyone hasnt seen the highlights from Netherlands v Sri Lanka then you should. One of the dutch players took an amazing one handed catch to dismiss Grandpa De Silva. It was actually a very good lofted slog shot by De Silva and looked like it was heading for six. The dutch player flung out one hand and caught the ball while running backwards just before the boundary line. Its fair to say that De Silva was in shock as he stood there for a second or two....lol Image

M8, hardly stunning. It was only Pakistan. Are they the most undisciplined team in the World Cup?

Not much point being able to bowl at 100 mph when you go for 7 rpo and have an opening batsman who swings like a rusty door. Afridi, 6 and out. About par from him, these days.

After Caddick removed Afridi, Jimmy Anderson then got Inzi and Youhana for golden ducks, Khan for 5 and Anwar for 29. The Pakis were in tatters and kept plummeting to 9/80 until Akhtar and Saqlain (12) whacked 54 for the last wicket.

Shoaib redeemed himself to a degree, after his sloppy bowling effort, although all the damage had been done, with 43 from 16 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Craig White copped a bit at the end but took 3/33 from 5 overs whilst Andy Flintoff took 2/37 from 9.

Canada have faced 10 overs and one ball and are 0/81 !!!

John Davison has thrashed a half century which includes 2 sixes! Bear in mind this is an off spinner who used to bat at 8 or 9 for Victoria.

Davison continues his onslaught! 79 from 50 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes as Canada race to 1/104 after 14 overs. The Windies are in disarray.

Is this the story of the WC so far?

It's great we're getting rain here but it's cut my satellite signal so I can't see what's happening. Lol.

Can you believe this!!??

Davison just went from 94 to 100 with his 6th. six! 100 in 67 balls. Canada are 1/140 from 18 overs. Dillon 4 overs for 40!

If this was Gilly or Sachin, the critics would be saying what a great innings this is. Well, what's this!? One of the best ever at a World Cup?

It is quite amazing.

Well, this will seem tame in comparison but India only have Tendulkar to bat for them, not an ex-Vic come Southern Redbacks offie who would have been lucky to make it into an Australian third (or fourth) XI!

They are 1/148 after 27 overs with Tendulkar on 79 and Ganguly, 33.

Davison also played for South Australia this year - unfortunately Canada all out for 202 - lost their last four wickets in five balls (including a run out)

India cruised to 2/311 against Namibia with Tendulkar notching 152 from 151 balls and Ganguly, 112 from 119. van Vuuren took both wickets and conceded 53 runs from his 10 overs.

As BJ quipped when I told him about Davison's innings, it must be a good wicket!

The Windies are 1/130 after 11 overs with Hinds on 60 with 4 sixes from 28 balls and Lara, 51 from 26 with 3 sixes!

I reckon JLC and I could get runs in this game. Lol.
