Bobby Rose was the true definition of a Collingwood Legend, and by all accounts he was the best player to ever play for our great club.

RIP Bobby

I have a few autographs of the great Bobby Rose, and always remember his great smiling face when we would ask for his autograph, always happy to sign.

Thought with his family and the Collingwood family. RIP

A true legend of the Collingwood football club, a great man, on and off the field. In the words of Lou Richards "Bob was probably one of the best Collingwood players, and we have had some great players play for Collingwood" So goodbye Bobby, may you rest in peace.

Condolences to the Rose family and to Collingwood Football Club.

Tis sad reading this. Makes it really sink in that Bobby is gone.

It seemed surreal when I first saw his picture appearing in news bulletins early on in the week. I was not listening to the sound, but I feared the worst immediately. I could not bring myself to turn the sound on, just went to bed in hope my worst fears were wrong.

The radio and emails from people, the next morning, soon let me know my hopes were in vain.

Vale Bob Rose.

I've already asked my Boss if I can 'disappear' for a few hours on Friday morning to attend the Memorial, I won't be able to attend the Wake though.

I won't be able to attend because I am in Tasmania :( and won't be able to see because I haven't got Fox Footy :(

Is Free-To-Air going to show it, like Nine did with Ted Whitten's funeral?

Although i did not personally know Bob Rose and i never saw him play, i knew he was the heart and sole of the collingwood football club, it will be a big place to fill, and somehow i dont see that it will ever be filled, Collingwood and everyone assiociated in football still has the memory of the Great BOBBY ROSE and he will never be forgotten.
Rest In Peace BOBBY
you are a true champion of football
