We should have targeted Garlett.

Melbourne got him for a steal.

Varcoe would want to start living up to the price paid for him.

As hard as it is to stomach Lumumba was terrific for the Demons! He looks rejuvenated.

he did some terrific things yesterday but was also his typical try-to-do-too-much self. got caught a few times and was pinged. demon supporters have certainly warmed to him.

Way to go Harry! Great to see you tearing it up at your new club.

Ignore the over-possessive jealousy-ridden whingers (and thank god you ain't married to one of them!). You were a great servant of the Collingwood Football Club and the Collingwood Football Club was good for you. Our parting had to happen sooner or later. That's life. Grown-up people deal with these things. We had great times together, Harry. Now you are looking at another chance to do great things over there at Melbourne. Good for you! We are looking better than good down here at Victoria Park.

Play fantastic football for Melbourne, mate. Those poor bastards need someone like you. If you are good enough - and you just might be - I'll be delighted to see you garner three Brownlow votes even playing against us 'coz - let's be honest here - if we can't beat your new mob even with you leading them, we don't deserve to be playing finals.

Cheers Harry. Glad you had a good game. Keep on playing like that; we love watching you in form. Keep your eye on your mailbox this year, we will send you some tickets after your season is over and you can come and cheer us on when we play finals.

H didn't seem interested at times in the last year or two.
Looks very interested today.
If a dees player cracks a joke around him that offends his holistic morals, H will crack the sads and sulk, stone moral, its only a matter of time. :P

Then why did no other team Chase Garlett outside of Melbourne

It may have been even harder than most of us imagined.

Interesting timing, when she was 13 Harry would've been in Melbourne playing for Collingwood. I assume he must have known about his brother though.

They were closer in age and had grown up together in Brazil (I think) before coming to Australia. You'd think H would've noticed what was happening, that's all.

Certainly gives perspective on Lumumba reverting to his birth father's surname. 2013 his brother reveals abuse, Dec-2013 Heritier announces the name change. At the time he outlined wanting to acknowledge his father's heritage, but the timeline also fits this.

Thanks for sharing. Just awful for the children and mother in that family. No wonder that H had some difficulties with his surrounds and a public outpouring of disquiet.
