At the mid-point of the season we have to say the stand-alone VFL team is a hopeless failure.
Not everything in footy, or life, is short term.
Exactly J26. And the club has repeatedly stated that the aim of the VFL side is to develop players for senior footy.
And developing a winning culture???
Hasn't hurt Wellingham and Reid when they've been given their chances. Why should it automatically follow that because the VFL side is losing, these players won't be prepared for senior footy when they get their chance.

Reids game on the weekend was the best I've seen for a while from him including the VFL.

Question to the VFL watchers. When did Reid develop that stuttering set shot at goal approach?

He did the same thing in the warm up, so wasn't surprised when his shot at goal came with that ridiculous approach.

What coach is allowing him to kick like that. There is no way in the world that, that approach to a set shot provides balance or momentum when kicking. What is going on????????
I thought he always had his set shots with a similar routine. Hasn't hurt Welsh at the Doggies, very similar approach. I don't care how he does it, he just needs to start kicking majors!

Thanks Dave. I missed the game as my daughter was crook.

Good to see Dawes pulling down some good grabs and the Caff has to be ready for promotion soon. Has been solid all season.

Willi will be tough this week, especially in the wet. But how sweet it would be to win and stick it right up Dale and VictoryPark ;).

But I fear Gotchy's Gulls are just too strong in all departments and it has nothing to do with lost dogs home rejects either. Rose, Picken, Stretton, Meyer, et al are quality players.

Rowdy, your time will come. :)

Go Pies!!!
