For those wanting to know what Walls Quartermaine & Huddo were all saying....they were backing 'pussie cats' to unbackable favourites and even their voices changed when they were 1 point in front at 1/2 time.Huddo and Walls, recon that the 'pussie cats' would go on with it and run away with the game,,,,NOW whos got egg on their face
As far as 'THAT' goal...they have been talking about it on Ch7 this morning and recon that either the goalie needed glasses or that they need two umpires for next year.....
There was one on Friday night and also at the WCE V Bris last night with Brownie

Rocca kicked a Goal that was ajudged a point in the 2002 Grand Final.didick wrote:About "that goal", well I remember in the GF last year a goal being allowed for the Cats that clearly hit the post.
Jam it Cats!
Harmes hit the ball AFTER it went across the boundary. In the 1980 Night Grand final the last winning goal was kicked well after the siren, as was the pass.
We won by 22 so who (apart from the Pussies) cares?

2010 - I have a feeling its going to be a special year. Let's not get too carried away just yet, but we are now ready.
A few of my favourite things from last night -
-Everything Didak did. He has the best skills in the AFL - absolute star.
-Dale Thomas' hard ball get ( i think in the 3rd, just in front of the MCC) - it was a beauty!!
-Steele's huge tackle at half back (3rd Q??), i need to see that again, it was great.
-Harry O's dodge and runs - great to watch
- Ablett getting caught with the ball twice - heartwarming.
-Jonnos goal from the boundary - NICE
-Trav getting fired up when he steered thru his second (yes, i managed to keep my eyes open!)
-Wellingham! enough said
-Lukey Ball - 14 tackles.
- Jolly at the end of the game, going around the boundary high fiving the crowd. Now this guys is so happy to be in the black and white, its awesome to see. He and Ball are going to help us towards the flag
- I must admit at the game I didn't notice Macaffer's influence as much as others, but well done Caff.
- My response to the Geelong supporter after the game when he said "Don't get too excited" - "F... you - I'm excited!!!!"

on that goal. in realtime his foot was pointing straight forward, easy to miss that and call it a point unless you just call all of them goals. had he turned his foot sidewards instead it would have been a clear goal. quarterbrains reaction was unprofessional and reminded me of an 8 year old whining after going out in poison ball. 'IT DIDN'T HIT ME' 'yes it hit your foot' 'NO IT DIDN'T I DIDN'T FEEL IT'.
Get back on top.

Great game, excellent win.
Didak and Swan played really well once again. I thought Wellers was brilliant tbh, he was a lot cleaner than he has been lately, and he was the one that really stood up for us in the second half when it was there to be won. One of the best things about last nights game was that in that last quarter every single player out there stood up, you could tell there were trying so hard not to concede late goals and let our lead slip away. even though the margin wasn't big, it was evident we wanted it more.
20+ behinds is never a good thing, we really need to fix this before the finals our it could prove very costly. Usually the better teams will put you away if you bring that rubbish to the table, it's just good that we played so bloody well in general play.
Gee I hope Reid's injury isn't too serious, he's been a mountain for us in defense this year, and his last few games before last night had been excellent.
That wasn't a final however, and there's still three more H&A games to go for the season. The fact that we're a game and a half clear shouldn't even be brought up withing the playing group, it's irrelevant at this stage.
Also, I don't know what these goal umpires are drinking before these games, but something needs to happen. Three errors this round.
Bring on the Dons.

What a win....game of the year.
But the only things the game did was put the top 4 on a level playing field. The finals are now officially open slather.
The other thing was to show the boys we can beat anyone in the top 4 when we play hard pressured, disciplined football.
I went to the game last night wondering how far we have grown up since last year's prelim against the cats. That was our line in the sand game. That is the game why we got Ball and jolly. Well I am happy to say our boys have come of age...they can officially take anyone on and dont fear them.
How good is our midfield! We have a midfield now that has to be tagged and outcoached against. But you cant tag all of them baby!
And with that...how good is Dids at the moment!!!! He is paying everyone back in spades and more. But Dids my friend, no need to pay us back mate, you paid us back when you pulled your finger out and decided football was no 1.
Man the lid is still on and it is definitely 1 week at a time. But gees I am excited.
