Gutted again, but to be honest I'm getting used to piss poor performances from this team.

As long as we zone off the ball carrier & let them kick without pressure, then things will not improve regardless of personnel. As long as we Zone off the ball carriers intended targets we will not improve. This is as good as this team will get playing this style of football & it's just so disappointing to see.
I hoped we would be in a position to win multiple premierships after 2010, but the reality is we are nowhere near it & so many other teams have not only passed us but left us in their wake. I don't for one moment think that Gold Coast or Port Adelaide had better teams out on the ground than us, but they certainly have a better game plan & appetite for a contest.

Could not agree more especially appetite.... we have no desire in some games and that is up to the coaching staff midweek
Can't believe people so discredit the opposition both tonight and against port.
Disgraceful performance - state of the art facilities, trips to Utah, high altitude chambers - gimme a break.

Gutless, heartless, weak as p1ss performance.

Disgraces to the jumper.

No pressure on the ball carrier whatsoever, no one even near a man, undisciplined, heartless football. Out coached all night, the writing was on the wall from the 1st qtr and Buckley sat on his hands like a deer in the headlights.

Bloody hopeless sh1tful effort by all and sundry.

The assistants are spuds, Lappin managed to build no muscle in probably 10 years of footy, shows what that pi$$ants work ethic is like, get rid of him.

Harvey, great player, elevator doesn't go to the top the floor, there is a reason St Kilda overlooked him.

Eade hates our guts, he said so in his stupid book that I wasted my time reading, adds nothing.

Hope we do miss the 8, get some decent picks, better run with injuries next year, with any luck, and reload. Swans and Hawks had to do it too.

At least we beat Carlton twice.

It's not the end of the world but sh1t this isn't far off!!!
Perfect summation.

This ridiculous handover was meant to be a Swans-like smooth transition where we continue to compete at the very top, it was never meant to be a rebuild, so those saying "give Bucks time" are being overly generous. The only thing that saves him from complete condemnation is our injury toll, in light of which he will probably get one more year to prove himself.
Exactly.

Buckley was not given the mandate to rebuild the club over a 5 year period - which seems to be the case given his selection of players like Mooney

Can the president please explain what the hell is going on at the Club at the moment?

Yep, should have been all but over at quarter time. Kept them in it.

Eddie needs to come out and give us answers. I'm sick of him avoiding the issue of our disaster of a season.

Only positive to come out of tonight, is when the Suns win the 2015-2020 flags we can at least say that our club was responsible for giving them the belief they could beat the 'big' clubs.

Suns willed themselves to win every contest- we expected it to happen easily.

Many times over the journey, I have stood up for Maxy when friends bag him, but this year should be his last- at least as captain.

Can no longer argue 'great leader' when our backline is ill disciplined and unaccountable.

Also, we had the rub of the green with the umps - yes they were 'gifted' 3 goals- 2 x 50m and Brennan push- yet we got a few cheapies and a few dodgy tackles let go.

Ablett the best player in the competition by an absolute mile

Tough love for those of us who spend our hard earned dollars to see these games interstate.

I was expecting a better effort after watching that embarrassing loss to the Power on our last trip. How wrong was I.

Disposal is atrocious by both hand and foot this year. The pressuring the opponent has disappeared, and some of the players look half-hearted.

No crumbers with Cloke get double and triple teamed every week.

WE ARE NOT DOING OKAY BUCKS.

We aren't discrediting the opposition. Simply saying the team we put out on talent was better than theirs. But our players were the one's who disrespected them.

Port tackle fiercely & put enormous pressure on the ball carrier. Gold Coast run & carry & kick to position with great effect.
What is our game plan? After 2 years I'm still buggered if I know. But I do know we are pig ugly to watch now.

Not enough respect paid to the Suns by our boys. They are an emerging side and not to be taken for granted.
Having said that, even with the pea hearted effort shown, we should have won. Clokes kicking for goal has become a real concern. The push in the back that was not paid against Brennan on Reid was baffling.
Even if we had scraped over the line, I would still be embarrassed by that woeful performance.

Letting Ablett rack up 49 possessions when we have a capable tagger not being utilised just defies belief...

Cloke reminds me of Watson (Aust cricketer). Brimming with talent, given every opportunity but fails at the important moment, which, for Trav, is kicking goals, from in front. Pies kick a few simple goals and they win today.

Very disappointing. Time to start building for 2014.
Yep.

I'm pretty sure we didn't move Caff on to Ablett because it would have hurt us so much because Caff was starring up forward.
