So Beams for Boyd

or

Beams for pick 5, *Moore and Greenwood

I think I like our outcome better.

*Remember the dogs had to give away there first selection for Boyd.

I'm putting my face out there to be slapped pretty hard.... but....

Do the Bulldogs have any other players who want to leave?

If they let their captain go, then surly its possible to get someone.

Question is, who would we actually want that's over 27?

-Liam Picken. 28 y/o. Tagger.

-Adam Cooney. 29 y/o. Midfield. (Going to North or Ess. Almost spent).

-Matthew Boyd. 32 y/o. Midfield. (Was a F/A but signed a one year deal a month ago).

-Tory Dickson. 27. CHF. (Supposed to be a goal kicker, but hasn't set the world alight at AFL level).

-Will Minson. 29. Ruck. (Signed an extension I believe).

-Robert Murphy. 32. Defender. (Apparently we went for him last year. Wouldn't be bad for a year, but his age is a turn off).

-They delisted Brett Goodes who is 30.

Never mind.

It is reported that half the side has left GWS so it might be worth targeting their young guns next year. There's a young bloke called Heath something, who might be handy in the backline...

We've stuffed up in our thinking peeps.

GWS don't have pick 24 to trade as they are committed to using it on an academy player.

So either we're after 8 and 15/player from the GC, pick 4 from GWS, or just looking to somehow upgrade pick 30 to a lower second round selection.

Think I have all the bases covered.:)

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of it tomorrow.

They could get 21 back from St.Kilda and they've already shown they're willing to part with that.

Is there still some chance we're going after pick 3 from Melbourne? There was a rumor that they were offering picks 2 and 3 to Sydney for Josh Kennedy. That could be the reason we didn't end up with 3 in the Varcoe/H/Clarke trade. They might have been waiting for the Swans to reject the offer.

We can potentially do Pick 30 + 48 to Bulldogs for Pick 26 as they've lost their first round and would need more picks to replace the players they're losing.

Then maybe pick 5+26 could be somewhat enticing to Gold Coast for Pick 8 and 15?

^Yeah good thinking.

Perhaps we could trade up to 5 and 26 then think about doing so again with my proposal in another thread.

It will be a pickorama Thursday.

I like this better than the idea of downgrading pick 5, though I think upgrading pick 5 should still be first option if we can get it.

I think I've gone off the 8 and 15 deal a little bit. Liking the look of Leverde at 5 if we can't move up and I doubt he'll be there at 8.
