Cam mooney on fox footy has A very valid point because i thought it something I didn't like of Elliott on both occasions. To not go to varcoe was terrible and then to not celebrate the de gory kick at goal, terrible again.

Should have included Kennedy for Williams it would seem given the expected rain.

Didn't we check the radar?

LOL.

Moving on though it's our forward line that is the real problem at present IMO.

The other areas are functioning pretty well but they have cost us the game 3 weeks running and it's easy to see why.

To a man every individual in it has a gulf between there best and worst form and most have a real problem nailing a goal in big moments.

Even Elliott of late is an unknown quantity and like his teammates can't be confidently relied on to perform against the better sides.

We started this 4 week period believing 2-2 would be a pass mark, actually probably better than that a good result but at 0-3 with West Coast to come we are staring down the barrel of going 0-4 which despite the narrow losses to date is a disappointing fail.

Ah well our top 4 hopes are gone now but as long as we play finals this season it will be a positive one with better to come I'm still confident of.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!

No quality crumbers.
Our small forwards are lead and mark type players who aren't overly good at kicking freak goals regularly.

Walters won the game for freo against us on the back of crumbing forward brilliance.
We don't have players who are even remotely similar.
The only quality crumbers weve ever had are O'Bree, Medhurst, Krakouer...can't think of many others. For some reason, inside 50 and around the ground, our team never sits front and centre. I'm over it.
Neon Leon was one our best best in recent memory....except in GF's

I simply cannot comprehend why Grundy was brought in as Williams' replacement?
- we had plenty of talls playing already
- there was plenty of notice about the weather
- grundy was coming off a short break
- witts had been doing a decent job in recent weeks
- We had the opportunity to replace him with Shazza or BK, who on paper are well suited to the kind of game that it was.

IMO, excess talls cost us the game. Obviously there were other factors, but that was one thing that was soundly, COMPLETLEY within our control..

Sure, there was effort, and there was grunt, but these kind of losses are going a long way to proving the "overrated" tags that we so often attract from the media.....

Sorry, but that's a misnomer. Leon pretty much sat back behind the contest and even flew for marks over our tall forwards, like Blair does today. Leon, Didak...small forwards yes, but no way in hell were they adept front and centre players.

How about the amount of times our forwards play from behind???

It was our midfielders kicking goals that kept us in the game.

WE really have to beat the weagles next week, no iffs or butts, it will be our version of Ports game tonight, an absolute, season defining, line in the sand game, we must come out breathing fire next week, no two ways about it. !

he better be at the local footy park near his house having shots at goal come Saturday arvo.
wow, really? out of that game you pick that? seriously? Can I have some of whatever you are on? Unbelievable... what is with our supporters and scapegoats?

Somehow we ended up with 10 more clearances... that is stunning. Only 5 less inside 50s.

Dane Swan - 33 touches @ 60%... can't ask much more than that in the conditions out there tonight. What a champ. Sorry we couldn't get the job done for him.

They may have had more talls, but our talls just weren't functioning (apart from frost, brown) Some tall guys can play in these conditions and some just aren't as up to it.....

MUST WIN.... Simple. Either that or lose it by 10 goals so we don't have to sit through another honourable loss.

Don't know why we continually lose the same way through dumb decision making, awful coaching and poor kicking

Feels like the last 4 years have all been the same

Just gutted, don't see a Premiership coming in a while, or real signs of progress in this group - same things are happening again as the last 3 years

Flat
We just got nutted at the clearances...
