Know exactly what you mean, RITF. Everyone wants to update the plays or add some gimmick. What if you just want to see a basic, faithful production of Hamlet or Julius Caesar? Trouble is, no-one would fund that because it's not cool or edgy enough.

I have never seen a decent, old-fashioned Shakespeare production at the theatre, and at this point I'm not sure i ever will.
