He seems to think Buckley got rid of anyone with personality. What he isn't taking into account is what were these players with personality were doing in house. If it is anything like I saw on the field, which was playing like big heads, then that may be your answer.
If the players were not committed they would not have performed as they did in the last few rounds. I saw Collingwood in 1976 and that is what happens when a team and club is divided. I cant imagine why anyone sensible like Cam would call AndrewT a credible source ...?
wouldn't mind what happened to that 1976 team. Didn't we play in 5 of the next 6 grand finals?

After Murray Weideman was sacked at the end of '76 and Tommy Hafey brought in, yes :/

Exactly. Who wants to go through losing all those Grand Finals again? I'd rather chew on a packet of razor blades.

But nothing Carmen or Quinlan couldn't have fixed.
Hypothetically speaking of course...

As I said to my friends at the time we were losing those grand finals, I'd rather lose 4 grand finals in 5 years than finish 12th each year!

Maybe we would have won more of those grand finals if we had of kept Murray Weideman instead of getting tommy hafey. At least Murray weideman wouldn't have killed our chances to win the replay by flogging our team on the training track the week after the draw.

Mooretreloar is much more refined and polished, and is also worth listening to.
Surely you mean Andrew WK?

So what else do you know? and who else is coming and going? What does your crystal ball say about Jeremy Cameron for example?
