I’m sure that player managers meet with list managers all the time. Chat, steak, nice red. Why wouldn’t you?Wonka wrote:Multiple football journalists, including Jake Niall and Peter Ryan, have reported that Jason McCartney, who is the list manager of Greater Western Sydney, met with Brodie Grundy's manager yesterday.
Sooo, will YOU Booo Grundy ?

I guess what we’re not seeing is how the 3 rucks are faring at training. IMO this would give the coaching staff much more insight into their decision to keep or trade Grundy. If Cameron and Cox are breaking even and Beggs comes up in 2 seasons then I guess they know they can trade Grundy now.
I personally would prefer to keep him but we need to back the coaches that have done a remarkable job to date.

Reality check: https://www.connorssports.com.au/clients/
D'Orazio is one of the two agents there, by the looks of it.
According to Fox, the phrase is "with the ruck’s future discussed".

All the rest is just speculation. The "discussion" of his "future" might have been "Yes, Thor would love to go to Parramatta - he's seen it on TV and really likes the look of the nice, wide roads, so he'll absolutely take a pay cut to go there" or it might have been "Seriously, your hellhole? Yes, Thor thinks he has a future and no-one with a future goes to GWS". Or really, anything in between. Let's just not waste our time worrying either way.
On the lighter side, RD also manages Taranto, Hopper and someone else (can't remember which GWS spud) that are all looking at escaping. As we know, Collingwood has been sniffing around Taranto, so maybe McCartney said to his manager "Get me Grundy and Taranto as a trade. It isn't like Grundy's future was being discussed with Graham Wright in the context of a possible deal with GWS.

Could be but still think it would involve another club. Pies get 1st rounder for Grundy which is then given to GWS for Taranto. Taranto came up only after the Bali incident so think it will be more like DeGoey for Taranto indirectly with a first round pick involved somewhere. if Grundy leaves you would think we would be looking at a tall replacement on the list.

We play well and looks what happens all of a sudden everyones wants to poach our players.
I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm

Id want far more than bloody just Taranto, give us Toby Greene too, and they maybe that would do it, for me. It wont happen, this is all pissing in the wind, the silly season, where geeky footy journos, get their rocks off with rumour and innuendo.
