Brent Daniels will be haunted by the decision to take the advantage.

Funny thing. It wasn't a sell-out, despite AFL hype, but mostly Giants fans. With 5 minutes to go half the crowd went home. Probably to beat the traffic in a final FFS. They must have thought their team had won.
No, straight sets like this will destroy this club for a long time.

Giants will be scarred by that defeat.

Consecutive weeks they’ve given up leads in excess of 28+ points.

Why would he leave a club that took a chance on him when he was at his lowest, unwanted by everyone else? To come to our club where all the pressure and expectation will triple? Where he won't be able to walk the street without some dim whit taking verbal potshots? Yeah, like that'd happen. One of the best stories of the year, watching him grow into the player he was always meant to be. Pity he couldn't win them a flag.

They’re taking the art of choking to new and special levels. It’s been great to see.

Remarkable that they couldn’t hang on, even with Brisbane’s serial chokers Neale, Rayner and Hipwood firing their usual Finals blanks. Really, they were beaten by half a team. Yes, Brisbane were ridiculously favoured by the umpiring but it simply should not have mattered.

There’s a degree of irony in them playing “Can’t Stop” after every GWS goal - they plainly can and do.

Amazing how they keep calling it the 'orange tsunami'.

It's basically a little orange wave in a kids pool.

..except in the last quarter when it turned into a yellow trickle.

It's obviously their game style. High energy, high effort, high pressure. They basically started blowing their load in the finals, not realizing that their record of maintaining leads in the last quarter to win wasn't a fait accompli this time of the year. Think this is where Fly showed his nous last year, knowing just when to apply the gas and when to back off. Kingsley is probably yet to master this.

A terrible night. Kelly, on the red, cheering Brisbane home as I watched ALL of my multis go down the drain.

Daniels not only took that advantage that Jezza mentioned, the stupid 50m penalty he gave away gave the Lions a goal.
That 'insufficient intent to keep the ball in' paid against the bloke falling over and the ball hitting his arm was cruel. Joes goal was pretty impressive.
Don't count the days, make the days count.

Don’t know how to feel about the results
Glad hawks didn’t win (thanks to Ginnivan being softer than melted butter and not knowing when to shut his trap)
But I would have liked to see GWS get a crack at the cats
But then again now GWS is out we can go hard for Peatling
Lions are using up a lot of luck right now

Lions showed why this current obsession with a fleet of small forwards in the media is flawed. Big Joe v Hulk Hogan. Two most influential players on the ground. Daniher is a finals star as we saw in last years granny. What a player. Hard not to love him.
Kingsley suffered the same disease we did - trying to defend with 8 minutes left on the clock. Terrible coaching which we proved was a disaster and they stupidly copied it. Teams have worked this tactic out.

The official crowd of 18,500 was 5,000 below capacity. The ground looked half empty. That’s a worry for the AFL.

Spot on T. GWS get better crowds in Canberra. They should move there. Sydney crowds are disgraceful given the city's size. Imagine. Move GWS to the ACT (it was a footy area that the league ceded to the NRL). Then the 20th team comes from the NT. Then ALL states & territories will.be represented. As Sam Kekovic said, you know it makes sense.
