You're both doing better than me, then! I still can't figure it out. :?

Lazza wrote:Try just saying "All the best for the festive season"!! Covers everything.

Others can say "Jesus is the reason for the season" which is fine by me because after all it IS Christmas!!
This is why Christmas should be banned immediately. :P

Odd.

Her father was an odd man.
What an odd thing to say.
The skirt and jacket looked a little odd together.
That's odd - I'm sure I put my keys in this drawer and yet they're not here.
It's odd that no one's seen him.
It must be odd to go back to your home town after forty years away.
Strange, quirky, different, NQR etc.

WTF is next level up.

Odd is seeing a man hugging a tree and talking to it in soothing terms.

WTF is when he drops his pants and tries to fornicate with it
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

TBH I don't get all the angst about what people say - if they are wishing you well ( even if it's just a platitude) then is that not the most important thing?

I saw a TV doco on Tom Wills a couple of months or so ago.

Agreed Stui, this sort of thing should be taught in our schools.

It's boxing day because it was the day for boxing up all your no longer needed stuff (old toys etc) and giving to charity.

Nothing to do with sport.

Jennifer Keyte on the news last night, announcing 'record crowds for the AFL Womens league'... ahh, it's the first round, dopey. If 6 people showed up it'd be a record crowd.

I suppose there is a distinction, wtf being something that freaked you out as opposed to finding something odd, which is a bit more subtle.

Now, what about the other thread? How is the 'what made you laugh today' thread not a rip off of the 'what did you find amusing today' thread?

C'mon, that's blatant plagiarism! :P

This is definitely odd...

I think of David as the most open minded and 'out there' person I know, but surely being in love with, and marrying, an inanimate object is a step too far even for him?
