The club is making it real easy for me to not renew my membership next year...
Can’t wait for what else they have in store for us!

Just saw this. Interesting time for the club and its supporters.

Monumentally stoopid move and demoralising for both the team and supporters. But then again, WWIK.

Look i am not totally against it. Maybe the penny finally dropped this year for Buckley...this list was simply not good enough, when things got hard we have a few players who have gone missing. Grandfinal, preliminary final and the effort against Geelong...added to the off field drama.
2021 is Buckley's last shot. If it doesn't work a new coach would simply come in and clear the decks anyway...why not go for a revamp.
Mick Malthouse had the balls at the end of 02 to tell the board his list wasn't good enough. Maybe Bucks has done the same.

Looks to me that we can put a line through 2021. The club is clearing some of the players not cutting it. There’s so much upside for this kid but assuming he doesn’t fit the mould. Might be looking at bottom 6 next year...

Damien Barrett isn’t the most reliable of sources though,is he?Does he ever get things like this right?

Are you talking about Stephenson’s betting scandal that he’s never fully mentally recovered from?
Change of scenery might be what he needs, and it might be mutually beneficial.
It’s also telling that the people who bagged Stephenson all year are the ones spitting the dummy over a trade rumour. Ditto for the Treloar baggers who are now all over the club’s Facebook crying their disgust at the club’s treatment of Treloar. When did pies supporters become so two faced and hypocritical? We go whichever direction the wind blows these days.

Trade a 20 year old rising star winner who can kick goals from 50 and run like the wind, with barely 50 games to his name, after a global pandemic living away from home for 4 months. Says a lot about our culture and ability to develop our players.
This club stinks right now.
Buckley May a well hand in the keys. He’s not coaching beyond 2021. May as well let someone else develop this Supposed basket case team.

^ It’s a rumour. Journos are desperately trying to stir up Collingwood drama to make headlines. And maybe, just a possibility, Stepho said a change might do him good?
It’s very telling the same day Geelong rorts the salary cap by getting Cameron, Higgins, and Smith, that Collingwood is used as a headline distraction

I don’t trust Barrett. If they try to trade Stevo then Bucks should leave now. FFS
I want the president to tell the membership that the board is right behind Bucks if there is any credence to that rumour.

Board is too busy buying each other luxury watches for making the finals this year

By the way, weren’t we trading Phillips?

Why not? We're attempting to trade out our best mid. Stephenson is only our second best forward so more logical to trade him. We can complete the trifecta next year after De Goey's court case in April and trade him as well. That's our best forward gone. And chase 33 yo Buddy Franklin cause everybody knows we need a full forward. This is a new first for an AFL footy club. Most clubs trade at this time of year to improve their lists. We're going in the other direction. We're trading to degrade our list because we're embarrassed by how wonderful our list is.
