The way we’re going,I think it might be easier just to trade out our coaches instead of all the playing list.

Don’t conflate two stories to make an invalid point. Unless, of course you have evidence? Without it, borderline defamatory.

Not sure why we would be even contemplating trading Jaidyn Stephenson. A young potential superstar who has had a poor year, but this his hardly the year upon which such a judgement should be based.
Not sure either where we will find run and speed on the outside if we are getting rid of Treloar.
Not sure that things are going well, with Cox probably linked to the Western Bulldogs.
More and more, this is looking like a keeling ship

2021 AGM - questions from the floor?
Malthouse wouldn't have traded out a kid like Stephenson.
(drops mike, walks out...)

Maybe Stephenson asked for a trade? It’s just a rumour guys, we don’t know anything

Nah Malthouse would play him out of position and absolutely physically wreck him by not recruiting to support his development (cough Josh Fraser cough, Cameron Cloke cough cough so many others cough), and also turn a blind eye to a culture of drugs (cough WC cough).

We can't do that. If we did none of them would be able to get another job.

As had been said there’s a couple of things at play.

Journo’s needing to get editors off their back will invent shit or try to make uranium out of lemon meringue pie.

Is there a player anywhere that would not be up for trade if the deal was right? Very few I’d say. So there’s the lazy journo’s vehicle for a story.

I wouldn’t trade Stevo but if someone offered 2 first rounders and a player I’d be willing to listen. Especially if one of those picks would get us that WA FF. Now, I know no ones going to offer that I assume so I’d keep him and so will the Club I think.

Laugh a little and don’t take the club so seriously

I saw the 'click bait'.... source Damian Barrett.

Immediately, all fear of losing Stephenson evaporated.

If, however, it is true, it better be a hell of a deal for the Pies...

Mr Miyagi wrote:^ It’s a rumour. Journos are desperately trying to stir up Collingwood drama to make headlines. And maybe, just a possibility, Stepho said a change might do him good?

It’s very telling the same day Geelong rorts the salary cap by getting Cameron, Higgins, and Smith, that Collingwood is used as a headline distraction

Clearly Sleepy Hollow does not have a bloody salary cap, i smell a big fat rat down there, thats for sure. If Stepho does go, we should bloody bleed the club that wants him, NO more mr nice guy shit. I hope he stays, as for Barrett, hes been chasing ambulances for yrs, GF is over, hes starved for stories so runs with this, he never changes that jerk. :o

This club stinks right now.

Buckley May a well hand in the keys. He’s not coaching beyond 2021. May as well let someone else develop this Supposed basket case team.
On the back of a single tweet during a period where 1 in 10 rumours are true. I hope you are not a people leader in your job. If so they are doomed.

We are open to trading Stephenson. And Pendlebury. And Grundy. And every other player on the list if the situation merits it.
My guess is that Stephenson will still be at the club when Buckley isn't.

So half the posters on here said we needed radical change or 12 players out or players who weren’t pulling their weight had to be moved on.
We also have the other half on here who reckon the clubs stuffed because the click bait ( and that’s all it is right now ) is linking us to trading out a number of our best 22 players.
Somewhere in the middle of those two “ philosophies “ is closer to what’s needed at Collingwood. We certainly do need some solid pruning without killing the plant.
I suggest we all just cool our jets on the hate for a while until we actually see what the end of the trade period looks like.

Two points we should all consider -
1 ) accept this premiership window is closed in the very short term at least.
2 ) understand 2020 trade period will be about a T P P purge and more likely the 2021 trade period will be about attracting ready made players to the club.

Hummm idk, although I do know they 'the brains trust' must be getting pretty desperate so I guess just about anything is possible.. my feelings is we will trade out Treloar, Stephenson, Phillips and maybe Cox?

And lastly, this is not a rebuild in the classic way - its a desperate grab at a flag before our windows closes and we really do have to do a long term, sensible rebuild. For certain individuals the stakes are about as high as they could get
