Ive been practicing getting images right in camera, particularly keeping the ISO as low as possible, I want the adjustments to be second nature, im getting there! been a massive couple of weeks, got the slab down today for the beach house, so exciting! (not loving getting up at 5 to get there before builders, ugh). So while hubby did the electrical pipe thing, i took a walk up the road and took some shots, this one i just love!
and these two were for the photo challenge im doing, Motion and trouble!
motion: i had cleaner shots but i like the blur in this and the splashing water!
trouble: i could have just taken another pic of the terror, but i had fun in photoshop instead! Trouble in Legoland!! Im trying to explore different angles & ideas when shooting, & different tools & functions in photoshop & didnt have a lot of free time, but this turned out pretty cool I reckon!

Thanks bucks5 that really is a great example!
Basically pictures are light, and you adjust light three ways, ISO, F stop, and shutter speed. (Leaving out flash control here). For action shots shutter speed is priority, for portraits the priority is F Stop which defines depth of field (how much of the picture is in sharp focus). But I tend to have a bit of a thing about ISO! Not keen on grainy photos! I try to keep to 640 and under! You can adjust it in photoshop but you lose some focus.
If your interested in learning more google the exposure triangle.
