So would I actually, but I'm sure the answer will be as boring as just good Police work or someone dobbed him in after he bragged about it.thesoretoothsayer wrote:I'd be very interested in finding out how the police identified this guy.stui magpie wrote:This is reasonably farked up.

I have been a tradie for over 30 years and I can use all power tools and equipment but know f*c# all about how to tie a tie! I see no reason to learn as I don't ever where one! So I disagree on it being an essential man skill!stui magpie wrote:Tsk Tsk,

Like being able to use power tools (and hand tools), change a tap washer, change a car tyre and repair almost anything using gaffer tape, WD40 and cable ties.
Cheers big ears

My late Father ( he was never on time) used to tie my windsor knot. I'm a double straight up from my school days: Melbourne High School: forms 3-12.stui magpie wrote:As is the knot. Looks like a loose double straight, which is less wankerish than a full Windsor I suppose but still.......Pies4shaw wrote:I agree. That tie is awful.stui magpie wrote:This is reasonably farked up.

When I was a senior manager I almost always wore a red tie (1990's).

I'm surprised you could do a double straight. (not surprised at the Power red tie)
I can't do a windsor or double straight because there isn't enough tie to let it hang properly. You're taller than me and have a fatter neck, so you must do the "fat mans tie" which finishes at the belly button or you have some trick I'm unfamiliar with.
I just do the single straight, or schoolboy knot.

I was a skinny minny when I was at school and when I was a manager (and when I was a smoker). My ties always went to the trousers.
