England were set up for an enormous embarrassment when Namibia were on target at the half way mark, and were only 2 wickets down.
Burger and Keulder (46) had added a near run-a-ball 97 for the third wicket when Burger was dismissed for 85 from 86 balls in the 30th. over. From that point on, the run rate kept climbing and the Poms heaved a collective sigh of relief.
However, they were unable to take all 10 wickets as Namibia reached 9/217 after 50 overs. Irani took 3/30 when the really hard work was over and Flintoff did best with 3/33.

Zimbabwe let themselves down more than India being too good as they were dismissed for 172 in 44.4 overs.
Six batsmen scored between 19 and 29 and more than one went out to rash strokes.

Rain may change Aussie bowling strategy - Buchanan

Australia coach John Buchanan says rain could force his side to change their plans for the World Cup Group A match against the Netherlands on Thursday.
Earlier in the week, Buchanan indicated fast bowlers Jason Gillespie and Brett Lee might be rested for the world champions' game against Roland Lefebvre's part-timers.
However, heavy rain over the past four days has increased the likelihood of damp and seamer-friendly conditions and Australia's coach hinted that one of the two pacemen might play after all.
"Our desire is to rest one or two of the quicks," he told reporters on Wednesday. "But, if the weather continues like this, it may affect the final make-up of our team and our options.
"It might mean our spin bowling options decrease and it may force us to increase our pace bowling options, but we will wait until the morning of the match to finalise that."
The rain, which forced both sides to practice indoors on Wednesday, has placed a question mark over the game, although the ground has so far coped well with the amount of water.
"There is always unfairness due to the weather but that is the state of the game, that is what we have got and all teams have to abide by the rules," Buchanan added.
"We will set ourselves a few things batting, bowling and fielding, with the outcomes helping towards our next match against Zimbabwe and the rest of the tournament," Buchanan said.
"Obviously it is one match at a time and we have to get past Holland -- four points is a priority here -- but Bulawayo is definitely in our thinking too.
"This is a stepping stone to what I see is a very important game in this section of the draw -- Zimbabwe at home."
Australia will finalise their side to take on the Dutch on the morning of the match but, whatever the weather, wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist seems certain to be rested with Jimmy Maher deputising behind the stumps.

Just checked the history, Assasin. The Pakis did win by 22 runs but there's no mention of the D/L being used. But I have some memory along those lines. I'm sure Dave or JLC will tell us.
The Netherlands need 198 to beat Australia. But if they don't lose any more wickets and the game gets rained out just after the 25th. over, they only need 116! Work that out. Lol.

Don't recall any rain rules being used in 92 final, but in the semi that year in Sydney(good old sunny Sydney, according to PeterWH!!!!), SA had their target change from something like 21 runs off 13 balls to 22 off 1, which didnt go down too well at the time and fair enough. The D/L method is undoubtedly the best and fairest method devised thus far, and let's not forget it is continually updated as every match is played. I hope thet have a reserve day for the final, for despite its fairness, to have thefinal decided by D/L would be a little unfortunate.
