So, apart from clothes, you have to take any personal stuff you want in your room with you when you go and take it with you when you leave?
Do you get the same donga each time you go back or get moved around?

At the moment I have to 'motel' (move around). After about 6 months they give Roy Hill employees permanent rooms.... so those (around 700) are only vacant for 9 or 10 days. If they need to be used they are, but contractors do longer (2/1, 3/1, 4/1 etc) so they need to be moved. Then there's more cleaning if rooms required.
On an even time roster, with a back to back, 1000 Roy Hill employees only occupy 500 rooms. The camp holds 2200.
I did 2/2 for a while at Argyle... it's sensational! Have your A/L and it's 6 weeks off!
They are even offering job share. 2 of you split the role... that equals 2 on 6 off... split the package. Be great if you could live on $70k.... maybe in a few years

Yeah, not all the family, mums brother not coming down, his son is going up there for Xmas. Him and his gf only have the 2 days off and can't do the travel.
So just the son, Grandson til around lunch time and daughter til after lunch.
I'll have way too much food so the son can take some leftovers home, save his wallet.

No belief in Xmas here but they Thais love any excuse for a party and of course receive gifts. They do not however reciprocate. The girlfriends neice is 2 so I got her a little Micky and Donald towel and the 2 older ones I just put money on their phones. (12 and 16) . The eldest boy is working so I got him a Santa hat to wear at the seafood BBQ place he works at.
The money for us 2 is spent on my new passport.

Speaking of Disney characters have you seen the meme? "Even Walt Disney could have imagined that Donald and Mickey would one day be running America!!"

Tukky the wonder poodle is ok. The offending mongrels have been removed to a farm. Not sure what that is or in the village ripping chickens apart or chasing rats in the rice fields.Or dumped by the side of the road. They rarely put them dom here because of the Buddhidt thing. The street is a lot quieter now as well and even the little pekinese that lived next door to the mutts has stopped barking. Tukky ran past a cat and chomped a rat (not me) and for the last week has been wearing little Santa hats on her collar.
I think she misses footy season but she is the only one who will watch it with me. If we win she gets a dental stix.
