He had a reliable source too! Come on! How can you not believe that the brother of some other players manager, would tell his brother, then tells a workmate, who tells us?

As frustrating as this drawn out saga is for the supporters (although not as frustrating as I'm sure it is for Cloke and Collingwood), the truth of the matter is, is that none of it is any of our business until the club makes things official.
This whole thread makes me feel icky.
This is the reality of life mandy, Trav has to turn or burn

LOL! We'd hate to lose you to another board mate. Can we start negotiations at say, a lazy $750,000.00 p.a.?
Can't afford to offer much more than that sorry, we have other gun posters we need to fit under the cap too.
Dyso
Dont even try to negotiate..... if you do you will get the crap kicked out of you

My thoughts exactly. Why would Connors threaten his livelihood by revealing confidential info. At the very least he would say to his bro, not to tell anyone else. Why would you select Connors as your player manager if he does not respect confidentiality.
FWIW, it may well be the club who has upped the ante on Cloke by delaying further talks.
Cloke now needs to really make a decision.

stui magpie wrote:So When Travis re-signs with Collingwood, will everyone who said he was gone and/or bagged him join in to one big apology thread?
I will Stu
unreservedly
Have said I believe now he is gone and IF so will not forgive him.
Have also said we will be worse next year without him but probably better in the long run if he goes cause of money over and above what we have offered.
Will not blame the club though at all.
If he stays after all this crap though I will never bag him again

Bloody Travis obviously trying to influence negotiations by arranging for his old man to sit with the parents of the coach at the game last week ?
And what's more they were chatting and laughing - just pure evil from Travis - hmmm subliminal messages - maybe the old man got the message wrong and that's why the club have put off discussions

If he doesnt improve ASAP i would drop him. let them scream that the club is damaging his brand and restricting his right to play and earn max $'s but you have to perform. Performance for all fwds IMO is the only way. dont base it on goals but base on team wins, goals, assists etc that way you get a good all round effort.
double edged sword.
if he doesn't play well weakens our position further at the bargaining table.

He's on the market now according to Robbo, clubs like Richmond and Carlton are now checking their list management to see what they can offer.. it's not good
