Simple, no one wants to give up much for Fev. Their best chance is for the Swans to come up with an offer, but they're not certain to do so. If Carlton's considering the Brisbane deal, one thing's for sure - Fev will not play for them next season, they are desperate.favourites 2008 wrote:What I don't understand is Carltons window wont open for another 2 years without Fev imo. So why wouldn't they grab whatever picks they could.
They will tell you Bradshaw kicked 50 goals last year... but they are forgetting they don;t have JB to take all the focus off him.
About to happen? The Carlton board at BF has nearly melted.Neil Appleby wrote:Just imagine the teeth gnashing about to happen over on the Carlscum board! Music to my ears....really!
For those who've never been to BF, Parrot is the smuggest most delusional Carlton supporting d1ckhead on earth who steadfastly posts how brilliant their young players are and sees the positives in everything Carlton - untill now. There's just so many things wrong with this trade and trade week. OK, If Fev's going to go we have to accept we might need to have a backwards year while we try to develop some new KP forward talent. But instead, we've somehow used up our #11 pick and acquire 2 more midfielders who we don't need as much as KP forwards. And we're getting a 31 year old forward who will not even be able to play a whole season, who benefited from Brown getting all the attention. We should have hung onto our picks, focussed on drafting players we need (tall kp forwards), and if nothing happen for fev, took a stand and not traded. There's no way known this current team can win a flag. It's a monumental stuff-up if this goes through. Massive.
It would actually be a masterstroke for the lions if they pull it off. they would be off loading a 31 yr, injury prone forward, and a marginal midfielder in return for the AFL's best full forward, who has another 4 yrs in him. The idiots in this deal would be the Blues.AN_Inkling wrote:Sounds like Vossie's as stupid as we all expected.
maybe they want to complement their down hill skiers.Harvey wrote:No idea why Carlton would go for that. Basically downgrading to an older crapper forward and a dud midfielder who's only skill is tackling.
