Therefore if we have 3 spots on our list, we can't use 27, 36, 43, 46, 48, 55, 58 to match it. We can only use 27, 36 and 43
Cheers MD. I’m under the impression this is why we have so many unsigned players at the moment. The club will have to continue to run the numbers carefully until it all comes together at crunch time. Obviously Mayne and Greenwood are already off the primary list. Thomas looks in trouble and Lipinski is an upgrade on Sier, so there’s a start. Lynch, Cox and Rantall are all unsigned. Not sure on contract status of Madgen or Chugg ?
They would be looking at trading out a couple during this trade window, delisting others shortly after the trade period and also promising to re sign those left via the rookie draft ( possibly Rantall ) The other option is to keep rolling up those later picks together and turning them into one earlier pick.
It’s just another piece to the AFL F / S bidding process jigsaw.
Yep, its why we havent moved on players but also not contracted them. Its also why I would suggest the offer for Lipinski will be 55 and 58 rather than one pick in the 40's.
We can always pick up the players not contracted if we have list spots available after

Wright just plays with a very straight bat this time of year.

Interesting times.

I would suggest that the following will be off the list, one way or another.

Mayne/Greenwood/Tohill/Thomas/Chugg/Lynch/Rantall

I have a feeling Cox will stay- but on a vastly reduced contract

That means we can use the points from our first four picks to get Daicos.

(This assumes that we acquire Kreuger and Lipinski)

I would make a promise to Rantall that we would re-rookie him
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

Surely someone will pick him up?

Despite the Eddy Betts/Geelong connection it sounds like we’re still in the hunt for Stengle.

I rate this guy and having been in a leadership group is always a plus. He was injured most of the first half of this season but I’m not sure we either have the list room or the cap space for anyone else.
Not sure we need another Lipinski distributor type either. We’re at the point about now we should be looking at pace and outside class if we wanted to invest in another quick fix. Naish or Stengle is probably a better fit but it may all come back to whether a spot is available or not.

Rich is offering 38, 42 & 47 (1176 points for pick 27 worth 703 points)

Ess is offering a future pick and maybe 51 (if it's a 2nd rounder it gives us the option to trade our 2022 1st pick)

Dogs want pick 36 for Lipinski and can't take an equivalent bundle of picks for the same points value because they don't have the list spots
