Pick 27 is worth 703 points, why would we take Richmond's offer
I hadn't finished editing my terrible math
Rich is offering 38, 42 & 47 (1176 points for pick 27 worth 703 points)
Ess is offering a future pick perhaps a 2nd rounder to give us the option of trading our 2022 1st pick
And Dogs want pick 36 for Lipinski, a bundle of picks worth the same points doesn't do it for them because they don't have the list spaces, if the Rich deal goes through we'll probably throw them 42 or 47
I'd be disappointed if we traded our 1st pick in the 2022 draft. We desperately need to recruit a few top end draft picks over the next couple of drafts if we are to build a Premiership team in a few years. We have pissed away top draft picks in recent years and it has set us back imo.
^ not set in stone and a bit of a grey area. I believe we can especially since we used a first rd pick last year and will end up with a first round pick this year matching Daicos bid.
Seriously can’t imagine who we would use it on tho.

Hun saying it's picks 38 and 40 (894) for 27 (703) now
Looks like we sling Dogs an early 40ish pick and if Daics goes 2nd or 3rd we'll be going after someone around pick 30 to 40 in the National Draft depending on points left over

Stuff giving them a 40ish pick. We are in the drivers seat.
58 can still get it done. Keep all the low picks. Some will be used in the bid. But then we're in the live pick stage of the draft. The lower the pick, the wider the choice.

Need to have 2022 2nd, 3rd & 4th rounders to trade the 1st
So we'll know a lot depending on which deal they go with, if it's Ess it's got to be their future 2nd and we are setting up to go after someone high in this draft
If it's Rich then we are eyeing someone off in the 30's or later, and perhaps throw the Dogs some leftover crumbs
Just a reminder in all this, there’s still a month to come of picks only trading after next weeks player trade deadline. All we need to do is finalise all player trades by Wednesday and then we can fine tune our picks strategy over the next month. Clubs will get together and conversations on swaps will go to a whole new level on pick swaps between Oct 18th - Nov 13th.
