ditto.
he was my favourite, loved how he intimated, bullocked through packs but was also very highly skillful.
Agree that we were unlucky not to win the 1992 campaign, as the players were motivated to win for him, due to the set-up of the final 6 - a debacle. And from 1993 - 1999 his absence - his leadership, skills and general presence was felt - no coincidence we didn't play finals for 7 years straight.
RIP Darren Millane.

Moved like a gazelle, hit like a freight train. Skilfull, courageous and at times brutally spectacular. The quintessential Collingwood tough guy. When I played footy I wanted to play like Darren Millane. Still my all time favourite and probably always will be. RIP champ

How about we keep this as a memorial to the Great Man instead of using it to make some sort of point! (hopefully the person will edit his post)
Will never forget you Pants, you were a magnificent example of how football should be played....Courage, Strength & Skill....you and your best mate were my absolute favourite players and influence while I was playing as a kid. RIP and may your friends (especially you Denis) & Family find comfort on this day...
Cheers

Darren a Champion forever !!
How fitting that you held the ball at the final siren.
Twenty-six was too young to leave. Yet you left your mark on us all.
R.I.P.

I never got the chance to see him play, I've oly ever seen videos of him... wow, what a champion....
I remember my Dad telling me when I was a bit younger about a Collingwood player who died in a car accident. Although I believe the story got a bit muddled in transation between us & I think I had his story all wrong.... but since then I've heard many many stories....
RIP

Played footy the way it should be played... tough, uncompromising yet with an air of grace and touch.
Was a fine example of the CFC.
Would love to see his number back out there one day

Darren Millane was a funny, warm guy, loved for his friendly genuine nature, as well as for all his efforts on the field.
One of the best to don a Collingwood jumper for sure.
Too much sorrow & pain in the Millane family, and for Banksy too, I hope that time sooothes.
