You got it, P'n'c. :)

Posts deleted were off topic, abusive to other Nickheads, excessive and unnecessary quoting and gratuitous offensive language - as per The Rules.

After the GB Medal count, I'm off to the Bahamas.

See you all next season.
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D

Thank you Donny. I don't know what Piesnchess' problem with me is. If he doesn't like the questions I ask fine, but abusive comments are just plain silly. We all want to see Collingwood do well, that is why we post with so much emotion.

Have a nice holiday in the Bahamas. Lucky you. :D

as long as it applies to "perceptive fellow" abusive posts too, like being described as simpletons, sucks, etc.

So we finish 11th, which is around where one would expect having a horrendous injury run, worst of any club, with THREE ACLs, in one year. Plus bringing in a stack full of kids, learning the caper. Oh yes, and whilst on the subject, the "perceptive fellow" bemoan where we went after the 2011 GF, yet our opponents in the previous years GF, the saints, a dominant team back then, three grand finals, today got the wooden spoon, and finished bottom. In that time they have had three coaches too. Yet the sacks only point the finger at us, what about the saints, now woodens spooners ?? Not a word from the sacks on them though.

I watched that game today (Saints), thinking the same thing, but of course it's a totally different situation. Lyon had bet the farm and then abandoned the crop when he knew it was spent...

Any Pies fan who thinks 9thwood is a good result is part of the major arrogant culture at Collingwood! We are the Qantas of the AFL competition! This disgraceful performance is what happens when certain people hang around in jobs well past their used by date! This is a sad chapter in our club history ! Shame shame shame
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Pies4shaw wrote:The recruiting at the end of 2012 and 2013 was intended to bring in some experience without compromising our draft positioning. It achieved the latter but it was a big fail on the former. None of those experienced players has improved the side. They have all been depth or role players at best. In the scheme of things, it probably doesn't matter much. A little more out of some of them might have given us an extra win or two but Collingwood was never going to win the flag last year or this year. In that context, it's probably more a marketing failure than a recruiting failure - it might affect membership numbers but it was only a stop-gap measure on field. The real question will be how far Grundy, Broom, Kennedy, Ramsay, Adams, Karnezis, Shazza, Langdon, Marsh and Freeman can go. That's the 10 players we've really recruited for the long haul in the last 2 off seasons.
I'm still struggling to understand why Karnezis didn't get a game or two this year?!?
After suffering OP and then his hammy, it's clear the club did not consider him fit enough to for senior footy. Assuming he has a full pre-season to get properly match fit, he should command a spot in our senior team next year.
