Not from my memory. I've got a geelong footy fully signed from the 80's. I know it's real.
It's probably a leather Sherrin I assume though?

Is it red?

This one is only vinyl, black and white and marketed as Sherrin club autographed.

I'm basically 100% sure the autographs are just printed onto the vinyl and not hand signed.

Mine is leather, 2 blue panels 2 white. My parents rented out a place for a while, one of the young guys in there had a brother on geelongs list. I found it when we were cleaning the joint up after they got booted, the fact that the guy who's brother was on their list came looking for it a few weeks after tells me it's legit.

I managed to find a couple of websites that have the same sort of football with a post on the bigfooty one pretty much confirming that the autographs are only printed on.

https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/ ... th.188518/

This one might have genuine hand written autographs though.

Decided to list the football in question on eBay with a starting bid price of $20 and buy it now of $50.

Given the signatures are I believe only printed on I wasn't sure if it would hold much interest though I guess they might still be relatively rare now.

Needless to say someone snapped it up for $50 within a few hours of listing.

Eek!

I hope I didn't grossly undervalue it.

I hate that, but you've just got to think - you were happy to take $50 for it so the fact it went so quickly - oh well, you're still happy.

Don't worry about the others that have gone for $600

I was selling it on behalf of someone else, though they wouldn't have any idea about it's value anyway.

The same type of football sold for $100 on an auction site a few years back but the signatures on that one looked personally signed to me.

$100 actually seemed cheap if they were as it was from our 1979 season.

Came upon this article on Facebook this morning and by gees I admire her courage. It's funny, I've been thinking lately, what the hell would We say at my dads funeral, and who would We invite? 'Thanks for bring me a cup of tea before school, and thanks for cleaning my marching boots, the end." I can't think of anyone who'd have something nice to say. Pretty sad really.
