Efficiency is as a 19 year old 2nd year player vs that of do e of the guns in the comp playing in his spot at the same age...

How does he stack up vs a 19 year old Hodge?

What about some of the others?

No DE% figures for Hodge way back then but stacks up well otherwise.

He might receive a rising star nomination this week, which was easily his best performance in his short career so far.
Are you forgetting which team he plays for?
Jade Gresham from St.Kilda received the nomination this week.

Amazing clutch goal, but did he do much else? Not sure. Can't hurt that he doesn't wear black and white only.

Interestingly I read recently that he was only a handful of his dads games away from being nominated as a father son by the Crows

Maynard to the midfield in 2017

Post by RudeBoy »

Watching Maynard get better each week and with his size and natural aggression, I wonder if he might become a midfield weapon for us next season, given that we should have other defenders in Scharenberg and Ramsay available. The idea of him smashing open packs and kicking long into our forward line is an exciting prospect. Overall, for a 19 yr old kid who has only 30 or so games under his belt, I reckon he be anything.

I've been preaching this since when Adams went down
Just like his hard at it attitude and think being in and under is more suitable to his size
Feeding the ball out to Pendles Treloar Sidey etc
Gives us another weapon at stoppages
Learning the defensive side of the game could hold him in real good stead

Hard part is getting him time in the middle when our depth there is already pretty damn good. Good call on Scharenburg however given it's a second knee I'd be holding fire on expecting him to break into the best 22 until we've seen his progress once he's back on the field.

Great to see his progress though. Was a bit surprised at the attacks on him earlier this year. Think he's coming along quite nicely.

Not afraid to put my hand up and say I was one of the ones attacking him earlier in the year. He has been good in the last few weeks, which has actually coincided with Brown being back in the side. I think the leadership is outweighing the inexperience in the backline at the moment and Maynard is reaping the benefits. Hope he continues to improve.

Can't see him getting too much opportunity in the midfield but I think he can become a true utility as he matures.
