For the record I've requested a 20% pay cut twice, when I negotiated to work a 4 day week the proper way.

Grundy signed a contract, we changed our minds, no requirement on him to take a pay cut to stay. Even if he did offer to take a 30% cut, he was still being paid more than GW thought Rucks should be paid. Lets move on.

I thought it was hysterical; they really are an inbred hive of morons at that cattery, who give the interstate crowds a run for their money for stupidity.

^ Why the heck would you boo your own player, it was a friendly fire incident they are unreal down there. Just on Grundy thought he did OK, had a go, but im happy the Cats won, cos now the Deees win on KB day, means jack shit, and we have the chance to go further ahead of them, by beating the Crows.

Yeah, re. the thread title, I wonder when Melb. fans might start booing him. Not saying this year. But if they don't win the flag this year, the last year or two of his contract might get very ugly. (If they do win the flag this year, they might give it all a pass.)

Talk on the radio that Demons may look to move Grundy on and pay part of his wage. Since we're already paying $250k p.a., maybe Grundy wants to come back?
Current $900k for four years through to end of 2027.
Demons to pay $100k p.a. and Grundy agrees to $100k p.a. pay cut, taking it $700k p.a. of which we're already paying $250k, so in effect we get a very good ruckman (perhaps no longer elite) for $450k. Low pick in exchange.
Grundy gets to join a team still on the rise and chance his hand at a premiership. Demons get to free up a wasted spot and we get a bargain.

Thoughts?
Go Pies!!
