He just gives the club his game plan, and what type of players he needs and they get the players with that spec...

As mick mcguane said look scared and timid during games this year , that’s something you can’t coach out.

He came to Pies with heart issues and left with them.

I heard Stephenson talking to people at the A.F.L site.He said he was completely blindsided by the club’s decision to trade him.He didn’t even hear from the club for over a week,and he had to initiate contact with them to find out what was going on.Buckley just told him seek a trade with another club.Honestly,what sort of club treats its players like that?It’s shameful.

I think we’ll make finals next yr & 2 things will happen
1) we do well but supporters will say we would have done better with stevo
2) we don’t do well & supporters say we would have done better with stevo

Sounds like sour grapes to me , will wait for the Clubs official response, of course he’s going to be disappointed but I’m sure he would have been informed by his management along the way who would be liaising with the Club.

In the nearly thirty years that the Rising Star award has existed only one player has won it while playing for Collingwood. We have just traded him after two further seasons. Ridiculous.

We traded Stephenson and Atu Bosenavulagi for two second round picks. You could sell Buckley and Guy the Sydney Harbour Bridge for $10!

I am a fan of Mason Cox but even those who think he is overrated concede that he brings the ball down for the small forwards. We have just gotten rid of two small forwards one of whom kicked a bagfull for us in his first season. The club is playing Elliot in the midfield, Thomas is reaching the end of his career, who are the crumbing forwards that Cox and Cameron are supposed to bring the ball down to?

Whether the decision to trade Stephenson (and probably Treloar) was caused by incompetent contract negotiations or poor player management, it is clear that our club is in trouble. Unlike some on Nicks I wouldn't dream of cancelling my membership, but my loyalty is to the club not the people currently running it.

We need a total clean out, starting with Eddie and Bucks.
