Jaidyn Stephenson speaking to AFL Trade Radio: "It all happened very quickly at my end. I got a call from my manager about a week before Trade Period started and he said ' think they're putting you up for trade'. I was shocked."

He said he didn't hear anything from the club so "I thought I'd get on the front foot and I gave Bucks a call. He said to look for a trade and they'd facilitate it."

My God. This is appalling. Sadly though, it does not surprise me. Nothing surprises me under the reign of Bucks.

Let's be blunt. we didn't put him "up for trade" in any meaningful sense. We threw him onto the market, and accepted any crumbs that were tossed our way in exchange.

"I feel for all the Collingwood supporters. I love the support that they gave me at my time there. I feel bad for all the kids that have the #1 on their jersey. But I hope that I hold a little place in their heart, because they'll always hold a place in mine."

Pretty sad, really, and we couldnt even get Ben Brown off Norf, i just reckon we got dudded on this. I bet the phones are going off their head at the Lexus centre now, many Magpie fans venting anger, cancelling Memberhips, its not a good look and the Club really, really needs to get its act together. Bigtime.

Piesnchess, I don't know about the Lexus centre phones, but Twitter is going off in response to the club's "Thanks, farewell and good luck, mate" tweet. Just shows how out of touch the club has become with its supporter base I reckon.

Today will go down in infamy as the day the Collingwood football club sold it’s soul. Hope the Collingwood supporters who support this move enjoy watching the team over the next two years play like lifeless robots in the mode that Nathan Buckley and his two sycophantic assistants, Robert Harvey and Brenton Sanderson are searching for. It must however be galling for the coaching staff that the one remaining individual in the side in Jordan De Goey will be pocketing his extra money over the next two years while he weighs up the offers and leaves under free agency for nothing.
