The way we've been playing this year has me certain that we can beat anyone on our day.
Last year I couldn't say that. There were 6 or 8 clubs you knew we were just not good enough to beat when they put pressure on us. Now we know we can put heaps of pressure back on them, and they will wilt like anybody else.
I think a lot of clubs are on the slide...The Kangaroos, West Coast, Geelong, Bulldogs, Sydney, Brisbane, they are not what they used to be. Carlton too is hanging in there but I just can't see them getting better. The Crows are hot and cold and have their top guns near retirement, and Essendon who I pencilled down for at least 3 flags in a row are just starting to seem a little older and weary and injury prone. All of a sudden what should have taken us 2 or 3 years is maybe going to happen sooner...we're stepping up and they are stepping down...this year might just be cross-over time.
