I had a dream we would win the premiership in 2003, who knows - I am not usually superstitious (I am actually generally incredibly sceptical), but a couple of years ago I dreamt that Jarrod Malloy was recruited by Collingwood and he made a huge difference to us, heralding a new era of success. When we recruited him this year I was really excited (and a little bit spooked).

Realistically, this year I can see Collingwood matching any side *on our day* except Essendon. I just watched Essendon demolish the dogs and they really are a cut above everybody else.

I think we are too fresh to be predictable right now...so anything could happen...but probably we'll stumble here and there this year. Next year I think we will be more consistent and start to win by bigger margins.

I predict we will be *very* tough next year. In fact our struggles with Essendon might be the games of the century for a few years to come.

As for Carlton?...I can't believe they are still up there...by the end of this year they will be on the slide.

Premiers?...about 2003...to stop Essendon's 4 in a row.

Nah, I reckon it's about time someone knocked off our record of 4-in-a-row.

So, that means we'll need to win this year ... then 2002, 2003 ... and then in 2004 we can equal our own record ... then we can go on and break it in 2005.

Yeah, no worries.

But, of course, at Collingwood we're just taking it one week at a time.

Aren't we?
