I was actually excited when I read that we were after him.
He has a great burst of speed of half back, he did it alot during the GF, and I beleieve a change of clubs would have him explode, when he is not in the limelight of Hird,Llyold etc.

MOORCROFT = HACK + DUD - ONE HOME&AWAY SCREAMER
Sorry guys he doesnt impress me except in
a straight swap for Lane or Betheras. About the only swap
we could do without having to drop our strides !!!!

Dont have much time for Moorcroft. He looks good cause he plays in a very good team. I would much rather watch Heath Scotland develop than wacth Moorcroft. Here is what i believe illustrates how we are sinking.

1. Our first option was to go for Heath Black, a classy onballer who has talent foot speed and is all class. Once again St Kilda the worst run club in the lague appears to have trumped us for the second year straight. Im personally insulted by that fact.

2. Then Porters name was thrown around as a possible trade option to help solve our ruck problems. Apparently our deal was not good enough, yet they are going to accept McKernan and give the Kangaroos a draft pick and Porter. That seems very strange.

2. Then we went to Croad who is very athletic and still very much improving and is a key position player. Fremantle the second worst club in the league appear to have trumped us.

3. Then i wake up find to my horror the words Moorcroft and Collingwood mentioned in the same sentence. We cannot allow this to happen. Essendon have a habit of tradin their duds and gaining high draft picks eg Todd Ridley, Tony Delaney, Michael Prior, Olarenshaw. Can you believe what we gave them to obtain Olarenshaw.

I beg of Collingwood not to make the same mistake. Why dont we go after any of the following:

Chad Morrison
Andrew Williams
Rhett Biglands
Michael Wilson
Nathan Lonie

I would target Andrew Williams heavily as he is a very very underrated player i believe.

just heard a rumour that McKernan could be going to Geelong. So we may still be in the mix for Porter.
Our biggest problem is what do we trade? We have a very weak hand. None of our players have anything but "Potential"

Ok Craig, what do have Geelong to trade? Nothing? they just feed you crap and you take it as gospel.

Well we can trade:

Adkins
Shaw
Scotland
Betheras
Dimmatina
Richardson

Licuria and Presti

We also have draft picks that we can trade to other clubs.

Surely amongst those players and picks we can get at least one quality player.

can't believe some of the negativity about moorcroft. if we can get him cheap he'd be a GREAT pickup. just imagine how damn exciting our forward line would be! plus he can be thrown in the midfield; you can't have enough depth in the midfield - and we need a bloke who can keep the ball in the forward line. if you think about it we don't have a little bloke at our club who annoys the shite out of opposition players.
essentially, moorcroft is good enough to have won a few games for essendon off his own boot. that's a good enough reason to get him. any player so freaky as to win games with burst play is welcome in our young, and already exciting side.
i'm gettin pretty damn excited just thinking of him and neon in respective forward pockets. phew!

Rohan I also heard the rumor about McKernan to Geelong. What is on offer is Murphy.

Essendon put a lot of time and effort into Garry Moorecroft. It seems strange that are trying to see what they can get for him. I would say they have are looking for a return on all their time and effort, a return they see could be best gotten in a trade.

REMEMBER Ramanaskaus! That's who Ricky O cost us. Be wary of trading with the Essenscum.
