Johnno might not come up either. Josh had a hip injury. So both will be tested this week.

Might have some forced in's and out's to bring in these other blokes. I think we did miss Lonie last night, he has a lovely kick.

Danny has worked his arse off and has a fantastic work ethic. He will take this experience back to Willi and kill the VFL opposition across half forward with Deano and Hottie.

For a fourth round rookie pick he has done well to get this far so quickly, but he has his sights set very high and good on him too.
Agreed. He made some errors with head high tackles, but his intensity around the ball was very noticable. He was bobbing up and down everywhere.
Actual tackles were initially good but slipped up as the WCE player tried to squirm out of the tackle. He was actually very unlucky on at least 3 of the 4 he gave away.

Can understand the thought that Cox should get a game for the Pies this week but no matter how well Bryan played, he is very unlikely to get elevated to play against a team that is useing Pattison and Polak as it's 2 rucks.

Agree, If I remember correctly Licca might've been done a couple of times the same way, was it a case of them being too clever or us being over zealous?

I read in the paper that Bryan got reported. Is he gunna get rubbed out?

Also, with Coxy, where did he play on the weekend? Was he playing deep back, half back, or through the wing and midfield?

On the tackles that Nico and Licca were pinged on. There was once a time when a player ducking their head was afforded no protection. This head high thing has become a tactic that I can only assume has become part of standard training at most clubs and obviously not ours.

I would safely bet that Wormsfold is actually teaching his pussies to do this so the arms end up above the shoulder.

The AFL is run by short sighted morons my good friends, hell bent on taking the working mans game and gentrifying it for commercialisation. Time to make a stand me thinks.

Cox must get a game this week. Surely Nicholls will have to go back to willi for a few weeks after such a shocker. I was also very disappointed with O'Brien, so his spot might also be up for grabs.

Please elaborate.

What exactly are you expecting from Harry?

That very point makes it an even tastier prospect. Playing Bryan and Richards through the ruck against these 2 allows us to send Fraser forward and create a 3 tall forward mismatch against the tigers.

I think Harry should be left in the seniors - he's going to be very important for us moving forward...

he's hard, got balls and has decent skills.

Very excited by the prospect of seeing Cox get a run out next week (no pun), the kid has come a hell of a long way in his short time at Collingwood. Will have to keep a lid on it but he does have reasonable height, good pace, very good skills, and can read the game quiet well.

Nicholls, despite the fact that in the two games I have seen him play he has done literally nothing but get caught with the pill or grab blokes around the head, should be given another week or two IMHO.

You can't bring kids up for one game and then if they don't go well drop them. He needs to be given a couple of games to see how he goes. On the upside at least he is putting himself into contests and having a go as opposed to hanging of packs and watching. He will probably be capable of adjusting to the pace and ferocity if given a couple of weeks if not, he goes back with a good taste of the big show and plenty to work on whilst keeping his belief relatively intact.

Bryan also has to be given a go, brought in to put pressure on, (or at least provide cover for) Guy, BOG at Willy on the weekend and Richards has yet again done nothing.

Love Harry's desperation and he is a kid learning his craft on the fast track. Got to perservere I there I feel.

Its (sadly) some of the old favourites that need to make way IMHO.

I'd spell Wakes, Licca, Richards and Medhurst (merde, what were we thinking) this week and bring in Cox, Ego, Dick, Bryan.
