I agree Stui
Not an impressive performance from anyone really.
Scrappy game with heaps of skill errors.
Stanley got plenty of it, but again made some errors by foot.
However he was probably still our best out there.
I thought Cam Wood was good in the first half but ordinary after that.
Dawes wasn't bad and Bryan had a very dirty day.
Blair didn't live up to last weeks game.
Scott Reed was left one out in the back half many times and was badly beaten. Still he is young and will hopefully learn from it.
Steele wasn't too bad but he isn't ready for the one's yet.

The boys started with a rush and took the game right up to Towners, but it was actually the Williamstown listed guys that we were cheering as our own just two years ago that turned the game around. Dave Stretton (#27), Scotty 'on fire' Meyer (#8 ), Brent Johnson (#10) and Patty Rose (#1), in particular stodd out for me. Those boys never stop running.
Dogs sent down Murphy and Giansiracusa for a run and Skipper was just too big for Lauchy and Lurch and gave his mids better supply.
Yes Stanners (#28 ) was very good again, but who cares?
Cook (#29) made some terrible decisions under pressure and Sharrod and Corrie (#14) just seem to be playing for themselves at the moment even though they are getting plenty of touches.
Dyas (#41) was OK first game back.
I still like Luke Rounds (#37) a lot and he gave decent service today and has good head on his shoulders.
Caff (#30) is playing all over the place and it is hard to work out what sort of role he is playing as it does not appear to be strictly onball. Was good though and always effective under pressure.
Ben Reid (#20) and Toby Thoolen (#45) tried hard all day.
Dickie (#33) was very effective and snagged four good goals. Gee he gets pumped after a goal. Very exciting talent.
Steele (#22) was good and featured in the best. Doesn't panic under pressure, but he played on former Pie Ben Davies for most of today and frankly Ben is not much of a test for a prospective AFL champion.
Tristian Francis (#46) is a revelation. I like his hard at it approach and hard running.
Very different game from last week and the team did appear very unbalanced and I am afraid this will continue throughout the season. Last year we made a stunning come back in round 1 to pinch the game from eventual runners up and then struggled to put two good quarters together after that. Lets hope things are different this season.

How did young Blair go?
Did a few goodish things but like the others ran himself into trouble. I think there's something there to work with, just not yet.
cheers Stui.
