I haven't been there yet, it's very popular. You should also try Brunswick and Boxhill brickworks. Plus a groovy joint over in Kensington, what 'we' call the Glue Factory.

P.S There is a really cool drain near Vic Park.

Luv your work EBB, brilliant stuff. Amd your jumper is ace, too.

My 16yr old son & his mates are into the same sort of thing. Makes me shudder that I can't keep him away from drains. Now he's telling me that they've discovered a drain that goes from Nth Fitzroy to Geelong. Wot is it about teenage boys & drains?

Cheers 'fence-banger'.

...the thing about drains. If it looks like rain - WE DON'T go in. flash floods and all that and creep up on you from kilometres away.

Get your son (if he hasn't already) to read the safety tips here.

@ Mike, sewage and storm water drains carry 2 different liquids :)

As a past member of "Cave-Clan" (long long ago, in a place not so far away) The drains under Melbourne are effin amazing. There is a series of drains under Hawthawn that we dubbed first the "Catacombs" then the "Matrix".
I don't know what they're called these daze but trogging is all about finding your own space, (even better if its shrouded in darkness and mystery) something teenagerz need as much as the air they breath.
Most of us take these things for granted but they make a city livable. They are the bones of the City.
Most of Us see these things as ugly or worse, invisible.
TigTab shines a light in the darkness, and re-invents it.

Love your work!

I was at both locations when TigTab created those pics. It's a real pity about her behaviour, and she wonders why she was booted from the original group. Best of luck to TigTab, she's done some mighty fine work.
