I don't think it's just the media, I think Collingwood supporters in general are slightly concerned with this game as we know how well Melbourne usually play in this game.

Last year we played them twice and beat them by a combined 1 point. We did go on to win the flag and Melbourne bottomed out, again.

Melbourne will be sniffing harder now Thomas, Swan and Beams are out.

Who cares whether we win or lose. They won't be able to beat us when it counts. A loss would be nice to avoid but would make a nice change of pace too.

I'm not saying we will lose, but not saying it going to be a walk in the park, too.

I watched them play against Pretty Boy boys last week and thought that if they play this type of footy against us, our press will destroy them. And besides, we know and say our player list runs deep so lets see how deep it really runs with a few stars out.

All year I've had a feeling that our two greatest winning margins would come against Melbourne and Brisbane.

I'm concerned by a few of the outs but we have depth that other clubs can only dream of. Bring in Alex Fasolo!

Fasolo will make the 'dream debut'.

Im tipping the lad will kick 5 goals.

Just remember since the draw last year on Queens Birthday we have played 25 games and 5 NAB cup games (30 in all) for 28 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses by less than a goal. It's ancient history that draw against Melbourne. And the 1 point win in round 2, 2010 is 41 matches ago.

We are a much better all round team than the last time we met them. Granted we have a few midfield stars out. But this time we have Luke Ball and they have no Jamar and Davey. Davey was very influential in being handed the ball to break through our forward press. We even played Barham on him to try and negate him running the ball out. Jamar thrashed Fraser from my re-collection.

I'll do 40 Royals in a heartbeat followed by a line of fresh cinnamon donuts- one for each of Fasolo's first 5 goals on debut...

The pies should win but anyone who thinks that this is NOT a danger game has their left testicle missing :D
They will be really fired up as usual for this game, this is their yearly grand final.
Shouldn't be taken lightly but we'll win by 3-4 goals.

Bit concerned about our big outs, but somehow i cannot see the Deeees backline holding the twin towers, cloke and dawes, down. On that basis, and i reckon krak and dids may chip in bigtime, i reckon a fairly comfy 39 point win, easing up a bit with a junk time goal to them.
