Cheers, thanks MB - just trying to work out how many spots we have left although that's always going to be dependent on upgraded current rookies etc.MagpieBat wrote:We have said we will take him as a rookie with our final rookie draft pick under the new rule if he is not picked in the national draft.5150 wrote:Have we committed to Jake Kelly (father/son)? If so what pick?
God it's going to be a long month here on Nick's waiting for this draft.
So now that we've got pick 6 who do we use it on?
Impossible to say given the 5 picks before us but you'd think one of Lennon, Scharenberg or Kade K will still be there at pick 6.
It would be a massive surprise if Aish fell to 6.

^^A lot of analysis up till now is pretty much guessing. During the trade period and in the next couple of weeks journos will actually find out who teams are likely to pick. The early guessing can often be way off the mark.
"Talk" at the moment, for instance, is that the Suns are likely to take KK. He was considered very unlikely to go top 5 just a couple of weeks ago. Kelly is now expected to go at two, which means one of Aish, Billings, (previously tipped at 2) or Scharenberg are a chance to slip out of the 5.
A few days before the draft the top 10 will be fairly accurately mapped out, until then there really aren't many certainties.

Well done boys!

I think Lennon is the type of player Bucks is after. Some have likened him to Dustin Martin minus the off field shit. He'd be great, no doubt. Hang on I'll just ask Emma Quayle..swoop42 wrote:God it's going to be a long month here on Nick's waiting for this draft.

This has been my wish prior to us getting pick 6 but now I'm dreaming about us getting Scharenberg, oozes class and is next best player in the draft after Boyd, Kelly and Billings IMO.5150 wrote:If we can land Kade Kolodjashnij and Marcus Bontempelli that would be a great result.
Of the other kids potentially available around our picks would be happy with Lennon or Salem but would stay away from Aish who looks a bit vanilla.
Taylor and Freeman look talented but are way too similar to Kennedy.
My order of preference:
Scharenberg
Kolodjashnij
Bontempelli
Lennon
Salem
McCarthy
Crouch
