It seems unimaginable that a Premiership team with arguably the games best player would lose to a team featuring said player the following year. This is what the AFL has engineered. Doesn't sit right with me and I imagine most footy fans. On the other hand, my darker side might enjoy the possibility of pain, anguish, insult and a feeling of being hard done by that a hawk fan would endure. It's not like they've had their fair share over the years. Ok, yes, I am very envious of Hawthorn and hope they get flogged with Buddy kicking a bag! C'mon, football gods, do your thing!

Seriously who even cares - perpetual drawing week after week until Gillon declares them both losers because we have to start the next season and neither of them were good enough to win it.....

And to think just a short 18 years ago they almost merged with Melbourne....

Spot on, but can't bring myself to want the AFL team to win.
Is a painful game for both clubs possible? Good thing with a massive swan win, and Eddie wins. Can't see anything else to celebrate.
A good hawk win will shit up cat fans

Wish Ceglar was playing. Might at least give me a reason to smile if the Hawks won.
As it is, I'm happy for Rhyce to get another medallion.

Why on earth would that make you smile?
If anything more a reason to pull your hair out.
Besides he wouldn't give a stuff about the side that delisted him and is very much just another Hawthorn flog now.

I think the Swans will win.I think the Hawks are just starting to show signs of decline. They were very lucky to win last week against Port Adelaide.

I keep thinking the Hawks are going to pull off a memorable Grand Final victory but I have a feeling that this might be like 2011 where the game is close for three quarters until the end where Sydney probably blows it wide open.
Having an extra day break might just be the difference here. Plus the Swans had an easy Preliminary Final match as opposed to the Hawks who struggled to overcome Port despite being in front for most of the second half last week.
