Clark to Geelong
Varcoe to west coast
pick 32 from west coast to Melbourne
Pick 23 and 32 to Collingwood
Prince Lumumba to the Dees to claim his inheritance as the chosen one.
Common Melbourne you're getting a Prince! Royalty don't come cheap.

That's not what Melbourne are saying Swoop. They reckon pick 23 is overs. Whatever they get for Clark is what they'll be offering us I'd say. Let's hope it's not Varcoe. Their next pick is 84 or something.

Doesn't mean it has to be Varcoe.
No it doesn't. What I see a lot of though is people crying out for more pace and more skill. Then when a player is offered up, it's "oh but he's so soft!". The same was said of Del Santo. You can't often have the perfect player (not everyone is Ben Sinclair), there is almost always some tradeoff.
That's not to say Varcoe would be at the top of my list, but as a type I don't think he's a terrible replacement for Lumumba. Though I think it's more likely he'll be heading to the Roos with the money they've freed up by losing Greenwood.
