^As you noted, they were prepared to offer Buddy $800k-$1m a year.
Guys like Brian Lake took a pay cut to go there and have played in 2 premierships since.
Like Geelong, guys are playing for less than market value to enjoy the success.
Thats what shits me with Collingwood and their list.

Cloke case in point.

Cloke, Beams, Pendles, Sidey have all re-signed for less than they were being offered elsewhere. Daisy is the only 1 to buck the system... and now possibly Beams.

Amazing, so Hawthorn get a number 2 pick for pick 19.

They are laughing at the entire competition, meanwhile another premiership is odds on.
WHY don't the other clubs deal harshly with the Hawks like they deal with us?? I really do wonder if they have secret monetary investments in the Hawks winning 3 in a row??? There HAS to be some bloody benefit to them for eternally supporting the Hawks??? :!:

Depends who you listen to. I heard O'Rourke is an average kick at best. But Hawks don't have a track record of drafting shitkickers

I'm surprised he chose the Hawks if it's for greater senior opportunities. Can't see him getting in their best 22 for a couple of years.

Good on the Hawks, they get deals done.

I think Hawks will do a Geelong & Brissy and go close next year but stumble. They are coming off two grand final series and with 5 of their best 6 players in the 31 - 33 age bracket next year, these players will start to drop off and / or see injuries take their toll. Theyve done well to maximise their potential and bring in a couple of good players, but it comes at a cost of future development & drops away v quickly. Its hard to stay at the top. Look at St Kilda and even us...

Heard Graham Wright, ex Collingwood 1990 flag hero.

Said plays both inside and out but forced to be more inside at GWS. Said want him to be more outside as he has elite disposal.
